Randal Kuhn says the key to this is the so-called Substrate-Independent Mind (SIM). According to him, an artificially created accurate model of the human brain, emulating its computing activity, could give people endless life.

According to Kuhne, this is not just artificial intelligence, but a human mind that is stored in a computer. He says neuroscientists are 99.9 percent confident that the brain is a computing machine, and if you figure out how it works, you can create a replacement for it.
