The thrill causes a lot of passion in many people. A thrill-seeker is essentially a drug addict. Some get pleasure from taking in substances from the outside, while others get pleasure from these same substances, just produced by the body. The difference is in the methods of reception. These substances (produced by the body) also cause addiction, a person wants to produce some kind of extreme action over and over again, just like the “addict” wants to take his long-awaited dose.
The same side effects are observed: traces of cerebral hemorrhage, addiction, dependence, withdrawal symptoms (withdrawal symptoms). Also, the difference lies in the purity of the product that a person takes: impurities have a role in the human body, but they do not bring addiction.
Thrills are all sensations caused by a sudden change in the environment. This is diving into an ice hole, and skydiving, and fast racing on something, in general, all situations that provoke the production of adrenaline C9H13NO3 from the adrenal glands (the difference is only in the degree). And this adrenaline is already converted into other compounds (amphetamine, for example, C9H13N) that act on the brain and central nervous system. This explains the thirst for thrills (no matter what) people have when they hunt to repeat the deed over and over again.
So, adrenaline is a drug and, like all drugs, it has its own indications for use and contraindications. As with all drugs, overuse has bad consequences. It can be both helpful and harmful. It is also known that popular narcotic substances (Ephedrine, Amphetamine, Pervitin, Methamphetamine) are the source of adrenaline (this can be seen even from the formulas). Their production in the body is continuously associated with the production of adrenaline. They, of course, are needed for some specific actions of the body, but their abuse harms it.
Every thrill-seeker who systematically creates such situations is, in fact, the same addict as those people who use these same substances from the outside. Extreme situations are so extreme that they happen, as a rule, extremely rarely in a person's life, and therefore, a purposeful challenge to them will be in nature similar to the use of drugs, their need and curiosity in terms of seeking new sensations.
