A resident of India, 42-year-old Maria Fernandez, shocked all the medical staff of the maternity ward of the city of Riley, because in thirty-seven minutes she gave birth to eleven healthy children, and without a cesarean section.
All newborns are boys, however, only six of them were identical twins. All babies were born weighing within one - one and a half feet. Now the babies feel fine, although they are still in the neonatal unit requiring intensive care.
As the doctor William Roberts told local journalists, he had never seen anything like it, and the doctors were already ready for a cesarean section with such an incredible number of children (this was shown by an ultrasound scan). However, the operation was not required, the babies appeared one after the other with surprising constancy and ease, so only about forty minutes passed from the moment the first fetus appeared until the last eleventh.
The only thing that is not entirely natural in this situation is that the fertilization of Maria Fernandez was artificial - in vitro (IVF), since this married couple had problems with conception, and now after forty years the woman decided to take such a step so that, finally, to have children. However, the result surpassed all the expectations of the spouses themselves, and even more so the doctors who carried out this artificial insemination and then followed the development of the fetus.
