The idea of creating a grandiose biobank, born in the Dubai health department, has far-reaching goals - it is assumed that by collecting the DNA of all residents of the emirate, the UAE authorities will be able to bring out the "superman".
According to the local edition of the Khaleej Times, this is a genetic material bank, which will collect DNA samples from absolutely every resident of Dubai.
Scientists, of course, will not only collect DNA, but also actively analyze genomes, looking for patterns and features.
It is assumed that in the end all this will lead to the victory over a number of dangerous genetic diseases, and, accordingly, the emergence of perfectly healthy (and even healthier than just healthy) people.
The project, as its authors note, would hardly have been feasible if it were not for modern advances in the processing of genetic information - the search for predispositions to genetic diseases, as you know, has long been engaged in computer algorithms close to artificial intelligence. In general, in the future, Dubai may turn into a metropolis in which absolutely healthy superhumans will live.
