There are a lot of legends about the tough security officers who were ready to take the lives of hundreds of people for the sake of their title. Now more and more documents from their archives are put on public display. Here are some stories.
Pocket Nuclear Weapon
At the end of the last century, Alexander Lebedev, a general, said that the special services had small nuclear weapons that had a capacity of 1 kiloton.
After such a statement, Alexander retracted his words a few days later, saying that he had made a reservation. Scientists said that back in the 70s, the government ordered similar weapons from physicists. The United States had a similar murder weapon.

The USSR special services have been accused of developing bioweapons more than once. It was first tested at Stalingrad - the Germans were infected by rodents.
One of the Russian microbiologists - emigrants, Kanatzhan Alibekov, said that in this way a war with the United States was kindled and provoked.
Blue folder
During the Soviet era, UFOs were spoken of with skepticism. Everyone was sure that aliens did not exist, but, despite this, all evidence of a meeting with them was recorded in as much detail as possible by the KGB.
Once on TV in 1967, scientist Felix Siegel, who was engaged in UFO research, spoke, after which his project was stopped and the team was disbanded. All materials collected by the professor's team were attached to the KGB archives as a "Blue Folder", which was supervised by Yuri Andropov.
