During research related to dyslexia, scientists have made an unexpected breakthrough in security by inventing a so-called brain scanner, which could in the future replace passwords and fingerprint scanners. Neuroscientist Sarah Lazlo, at the University of Binghamton, was creating a method to measure the brain activity of children when her colleague Jeanpen Jean proposed using the technology in a completely different industry. According to experts, the new method is reliable protection for smartphones, tablets and other consumer electronics, as it allows you to identify a person with an accuracy of 100 percent.
Scientists noted that the cost and ease of production of such scanners allows them to be mass-produced, but it is unlikely that such a program is deployed on a significant scale. Most likely, this technology will be used in places that require a high level of security, such as the Pentagon and Air Force laboratories.
