Is this a childish question or a philosophical one?
It seems that this question is primitive and childish. But in fact, this question is often asked by unbelievers, and great philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Kant tried to give answers to it.
Is there an answer?
Oddly enough, there is an answer to this question. And not alone. There are two answers to this question - the first is simple and the second is complex. But the essence of both answers is the same.
The first answer is simple
God did not appear from anywhere. He has always been. And we must believe it as children. Jesus Christ taught about this when he came to earth:

We accept God and the Kingdom of God by faith, not scientific evidence. Everything that God has revealed about Himself, we believe. Or we don’t believe - if we chose the path of opposing God.
The nature of God can be cognized throughout life and not fully cognized, but we take the very existence of the Creator on faith, like children.
The second answer is hard
If such a simple answer to this question does not suit someone, then you can try to figure it out from a scientific and philosophical point of view. In science, there is such a thing as transcendence. It means "out of bounds". Scientifically speaking, God is transcendental to this world.

What does this mean
When they say that God is transcendental to this world, they mean that He is outside this world. The law of cause and effect operates in this world. Its essence lies in the fact that every thing and phenomenon in this world has its own reason.
But there is no guarantee that this law also exists in some other world. Since God is transcendental to our world, He does not obey the laws of this world. God dwells in another world, in which there is no cause-and-effect relationship.
How do we perceive and understand it
God is eternal. He did not come from anywhere and did not appear from anywhere. He is Beginningless, Infinite, Omnipresent. God has always been and there was no time when He did not exist.
All three persons of the Godhead have always been - God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. And what kind of occupation He had before the creation of our world, we do not know. We only know what God has revealed to people about Himself.
