Humanity urgently needs to look for another planet for itself, says Stephen Hawking, the British popularizer of science, according to whose forecasts the Earth is about to become uninhabitable.

"This planet has broken, we need to look for another" - this is a short extract from Hawking's long story about all the consequences of human impact on the Earth and ways to overcome them.

The climate is changing (global warming is, by the way, not a joke), overpopulation is felt more and more clearly, and then there are all kinds of epidemics, a nuclear war looming on the horizon, and, in general, garbage floating in the ocean. In general, modern Earth is not a very pleasant place to live.

Whether it is other planets. The pristine worlds, as Hawking is sure, await earthlings, carrying garbage and death with them, just with open arms.

“But we need to hurry. We will not have time to colonize another planet by the beginning of the twenty-second century - that's it, the end means to us. I’m already dead, but you will slowly rot in a heap of radioactive debris and hum in powerless attempts to do at least something. But it will be too late - it was necessary to build spaceships and leave this stinking planet earlier,”concludes the British scientist.
