The worst thing about poverty is thinking about poverty
Poverty itself is not as bad as thinking about it. Fatal is the belief that we are poor and will remain so. Mental attitude is what has a destructive and detrimental effect; the fact that we get used to face poverty, resigned to the idea that we are doomed to it, and do not even try to turn the other way and fight - with a determination that does not give defeat.
As long as you continue to live, resigned to the atmosphere of poverty, and thoughts of poverty emanate from you, your hands are tied and your options become limited.
You will be poor as long as you think about poverty, and you will fail as long as you think about failure.
If you are afraid of poverty, if you are really afraid of it, if you are horrified by the thought of poverty in old age, it will most likely overtake you, because constant fear takes away your courage, undermines your self-confidence, and you are no longer in able to cope with difficulties.
Consciousness is a magnet, and a magnet must be true, it attracts things like itself. If your mind is oversaturated with the thought of fear and poverty, it doesn't matter how hard you work - you will still attract poverty to you.
You are heading in the direction that you are looking. If you stubbornly look towards poverty, you can no longer wait for abundance. If you follow the path of failure every step of the way, you don't have to wait for success.
If you stick to thoughts of poverty, you will constantly come in contact with the conditions that lead to poverty - the constant thought of poverty, talking about poverty, living in poverty makes you a mental invalid. This is the most terrifying form of poverty.
Promotional video:
Have you ever heard of a person who is lucky, all the time claiming that his business is going badly. The habit of looking down and talking about failure is fatal to moving forward. Anyone who thinks all the time about his plight and failure can never move in the opposite direction, where success and prosperity are.
If you want to attract good luck, put your doubts aside. As long as they stand between you and your aspirations, they will be an insurmountable obstacle for you. You have to believe. No one can get rich if they keep telling themselves “I can't”. The "I can't" philosophy has broken more careers than anything else. Confidence is the magic key that unlocks the doors of support.
Having lost the confidence that we can rise up, improve our position, we lose all chances for success, and life becomes hard and dull. A young man of remarkable abilities, with a recognized position in the business society, once told me that he was completely poor for a very long time and remained that way until he decided very firmly that he did not want to be poor anymore, that poverty is mental a disease he intended to get rid of.
He developed the habit of announcing every day that he would achieve abundance and prosperity, reinforcing his faith and the ability to become a man with means significant enough in this world. He stubbornly removed all thoughts of poverty from his mind. He wanted nothing to do with them. He didn't even allow himself to think about possible failures. The young man turned his face to a new goal - success - and turned away forever from poverty and failure.
He said that he used to save on everything in order to save at least a little money. He ate the cheapest food, and as little as possible. He tried not to travel by public transport, preferring to walk for many miles.
Obeying a new impulse, he radically changed all these habits. He decided that he should eat in good restaurants, rent a comfortable room in a good neighborhood, meet cultured, educated people, and make acquaintances with those who can help him.
The more generous he became, the better he did. This helped him become more educated and cultured, and then things became even better. The young man realized that it was precisely the thought of frugality that prevented him from drawing support from the cosmic ocean.
And although now he lives well, he says that he spends literally a tiny fraction of what comes to him thanks to new thoughts and a changed attitude towards life.
Doubt kills success, and fear of failure kills prosperity. Failure or success - everything first happens in the mind, and only then becomes reality.
That is why stingy, limited minds will never be able to attract money to themselves. If they do have money, it will be only as a result of endless calculating economy - like Ebenezer Scrooge - and not because they obeyed the law of abundance. It takes a broad, generous mind to attract money. Narrow-minded mean people block all paths to abundance.
Only a hopeful, cheerful, cheerful attitude towards life wins. The prosperity builder is optimism. The killer of prosperity is pessimism.
Optimism is the greatest producer. This is hope and life. It contains everything that forms the mental attitude that helps us achieve and enjoy prosperity.
And may you lose your property, health - even your reputation! - if you keep faith in yourself and look up, you will always have hope for the restoration of the lost.
I know a family that has completely changed their life, changing their mental attitude towards it.
They lived so long in an atmosphere of despondency and disappointment that they were convinced that success is for others. They were convinced that they were doomed to poverty, and their home and everything around them presented a picture of decline and failure. Everything was decaying and crumbling. All the paint had peeled off the house, there were no carpets on the floor, there were no paintings on the walls, in general, there was nothing left that makes the house cozy and cheerful. All family members looked like losers. The house was sad, cold and joyless. Everything about him was melancholy.
One day, a mother read a book that said that poverty is basically a mental illness. And she immediately began to strive to change her way of thinking, gradually replacing oppressive, dull, disastrous thoughts with directly opposite ones.
She took a sunny, cheerful position, looked and acted as if the world was worth living. Soon, both her husband and children adopted her gaiety, and very soon, instead of pessimism, optimism reigned in the house. The husband also changed his habits. He stopped going to work unshaven and disheveled, in untidy clothes, he became neat and tidy. He pulled himself together, began to tidy himself up and began to look up. The children followed suit.
As a result, what many people call "luck" came to them. Changes in thoughts, a look towards success and happiness instead of failure reflected on the mind of his father, gave him hope and courage, he greatly improved his performance, and he was soon promoted to his position. Sons also. After two or three years of living in such a creative, inspiring atmosphere of hope and courage, the whole family has absolutely changed - and so has the home! It has been repaired, renovated both outside and inside.
We must fulfill our role in our endeavors. If you are trying to be successful, you have to play your part. If you are trying to demonstrate abundance, you must do so - not pitifully and feebly, but broadly and decisively. You must feel abundance. You have to think about abundance. Your demeanor should be overwhelmed with confidence. You have to give the impression of determination, you have to play your part and play it admirably.
Our mental position in relation to the goal of interest to us entirely determines our ability to achieve it. If you want to become successful, you must believe that you are made for prosperity and happiness.
Erase all shadows, all doubts and fears, all thoughts of poverty and failure from your mind. When you become the masters of your thoughts, when you learn to control your own consciousness, you will find that everything turns out as if by itself.
Despondency, fear, doubt, lack of self-confidence are the germs that have killed the prosperity and happiness of so many people.
Do not let the power of calamity and poverty press you to the ground. Prove your superiority all the time. Believe that you will be in control of others, that you are the master, not the slave of circumstances.
With all your energy, decide that there are many good things in the world, and you are going to get your share without hurting anyone or elbowing others! From the very beginning, it was conceived that you will find prosperity and prosperity. Prosperity is your birthright and you must be determined to receive your divine destiny.
Poverty is an abnormal condition. It cannot be suitable for any person. It is contrary to divine promise and design.
In our miraculous mechanism, there is no sign that we were made to live in poverty. At the divine level, there is something much more majestic and significant for us than the constant struggle for a piece of bread.
No one can do their job and find their best qualities in themselves if they feel like someone is hanging on their feet, if a person feels tied up, limited, all the time feels themselves at the mercy of constrained circumstances.
Poor people trying to stay on the edge will never be independent. They don't even dare to express their opinions or have personal views on life.
Poverty in its extreme form narrows the horizon, diminishes dignity, kills ambition; it's a vicious circle. There is no hope, no prospects, no joy in it. She often brings out the worst in people, kills love among those who could live happily together.
Poverty is not a blessing, but a curse, and those who glorify its virtues are unlikely to be willing to agree to such dire conditions themselves.
There is no shame in unexpected poverty. We respect people who have become poor because of illness or misfortune that could not be prevented.
We condemn avoidable poverty, one that comes from lack of effort, wrong thinking - in general, for any completely preventable cause.
I am certainly not saying that there are no rich, heartless, greedy, stingy, that there are no unfair and cruel circumstances created by unscrupulous political and financial intriguers. I just want to show the poor that, in spite of all this, many of the poor were able to rise above iron circumstances - and that there is always hope.
Poverty begins in consciousness. Most of the poor in our cities remain poor simply because they are - and this is very tragic - mental beggars. They do not believe that they will ever be able to become successful people. Fate and conditions are against them - and they are sure that they were born poor, and expect that they will always remain poor; and this became the constant direction of their thoughts, their firm conviction. Walk around the slums, and you will hear what they say there exclusively about poverty, about turned away luck, about the cruelty and injustice of society. They will tell you that they have always been oppressed by the upper classes, oppressed by greedy employers, someone else, or something that they could not change. These people consider themselves victims, not conquerors, defeated, not conquerors.
This means that the worst thing about poverty is thoughts about poverty, the conviction that we are poor and should remain poor. If you stick to the idea of poverty, you will be hurt by poverty and will remain in conditions that breed poverty.
If you come to the conclusion that you are fed up with poverty and decided to end it forever, you decided that you no longer want to have anything to do with it, that you intend to destroy any reminder of it in your clothes, in appearance, behavior, speech, actions, at home, that you are determined to turn your face to the better, and nothing in the world will prevent you from fulfilling your decision, you will be amazed to realize what a powerful force will rush to you, how your self-confidence and self-esteem will increase.
The very decision that you do not want to have anything to do with poverty, that you will get the best out of what you have, that you will look your best, that you will tidy yourself up, comb your hair, start talking and behave with your head held high, will engender a new spiritual beginning within you, which will lead you to the light. Despair will be replaced by hope, you will feel a surge of new strength, confidence will flow through your veins.
If you feel that you have fallen very low and everything around you looks dull and depressing, just try to experiment - decisively turn the other way, towards the sun, hope and expectation, and leave all shadows behind.
Block all paths to thoughts of poverty and doubt. Tear pictures of despondency and depression from the walls in your mind, hang pictures instead of them bright, cheerful, full of hope.
Remind yourself that thousands of people before you and around you in this world have invented an escape from poverty for themselves, having listened to the great principle: we realize in our life only what we persistently think about and for which we decisively fight.
