The next day, Spielberg put on his formal suit, took his father's briefcase, which contained only a sandwich and a couple of sweets, and proceeded to the studio building as if he were part of this "high society." Steve began pacing up and down past the gatekeeper at the studio gate. Then he found an abandoned filming trailer with a sign on the door: "Steven Spielberg - Director." So he spent the whole summer, languishing on the borders of the world into which he so wanted to penetrate, meeting with directors, writers and editors, drawing conclusions from each conversation,observing and developing more and more the acuity of their feelings and perception of everything that is connected with cinema.
Finally, at the age of twenty, after he became familiar and became his own in this elite get-together, Spielberg showed the experts at Universal Studios a small film that he made himself, and he was immediately offered a seven-year contract to shoot a television series. He made his dream come true.
