British scientists have found that experience may not always be beneficial in life. In some situations, a person needs to resort to an inner voice called intuition.
Researchers have found that most people make decisions based on their knowledge and life experience. But this can lead to the repetition of mistakes already made. Therefore, experience is not always useful in difficult situations that require urgent solutions.
Scientists believe this is due to an imperfect mechanism of the brain's cognitive ability. In conditions of limited time, experience does not give the desired result, therefore, in such “hopeless” situations, one must use intuition. However, the researchers say that blindly trusting the sixth sense is also not worth it, but it can lead to a quick solution to the problem. The best option when solving difficult life problems is to use experience and intuition in combination.
In the future, scientists are going to continue studying this topic, in particular, the conditions for the development of the sixth sense and the influence of various factors, for example, noise, on this process.
