We know much less about unidentified underwater objects (NGOs) than about unidentified flying objects, however, judging by the declassified documents of the Russian Navy, NGOs are encountered quite often. And their main feature is that in terms of technical characteristics, they surpass all ships ever built by man.
Declassified documents date back to the Soviet era and, according to a retired naval officer, head of the UFO Center and vice-president of the All-Union Ufological Association, Vladimir Azhazha, are of great importance.
One of the most interesting cases that he investigated occurred with the crew of a nuclear submarine on a combat mission in the South Pacific - the submariners spotted six unknown objects moving at speeds in excess of 230 knots (425 kilometers) per hour. For comparison, the fastest Soviet submarine K-222 developed a maximum speed of 44 knots (81 kilometers) per hour, writes Locklip.
The sonars of the submarine determined that unknown objects were moving directly towards her, so the captain gave the order to surface. NPOs "escorted" the submarine to the surface, then flew out of the water and disappeared. Similar cases were recorded in the area of the Bermuda Triangle, recalls the retired submarine commander Yuri Beketov. When the NPO approached, the devices began to malfunction, then there was strong interference, but sometimes it was still possible to determine the speed of objects. It was truly incredible - over 400 kilometers per hour.
It is quite difficult to develop such a speed even on land, where the resistance is an order of magnitude less than under water. Mysterious objects seem to have ignored all the laws of physics. “There is only one conclusion: the creatures who created such material objects significantly surpass us in development. It can even be assumed that in the depths of the ocean there is another ancient civilization in parallel with us. Or are they aliens from other worlds, hiding from human eyes deep under water, Beketov sums up.
Interestingly, both UFOs and NGOs most often appeared in places of war, which indicates the interest of aliens in the military skills of mankind. However, the deepest freshwater lake in the world, Baikal, attracts them no less. Fishermen described the glow they noticed, similar to the light of searchlights, and incomprehensible sparkling flashes, and also stated that bright luminous discs and silvery cylinders of an incomprehensible nature were flying out of the water. References to NGOs can also be found in folk tales - in them swimmers are pulled to the bottom of Lake Baikal by creatures hiding in the calm waters of the lake.
There is also official evidence of a meeting with an unknown person on Lake Baikal. One of the documents describes a meeting of divers of the military-diving service, performing training dives, with humanoid creatures in tight-fitting silver suits at a depth of fifty meters. The strangers had no scuba gear or other diving equipment - however, they wore spherical helmets on their heads. It was not possible to get to know the aliens better: trying to catch them with a net, three members of the group were killed and four were seriously injured, Locklip notes.
“As for the underwater bases, I can say one thing: why not? Nothing can be discarded. It is easiest to take the position of a skeptic: to believe in nothing and do nothing. People rarely dive to great depths. Therefore, it is very important to analyze what they encounter there,”concludes Vladimir Azhazha.
