The story was told by a girl with the initials JR, she wrote a long letter to the American monster researcher Lon Strickler, who later contacted her and asked about the details.
It all happened quite recently on April 13, 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) in the evening, around 22.00-22.30.
“We parked in the same parking lot, I don’t want to name the exact place, but in the evening and at night there are few lights and it is rather dark. We didn’t even have time to get out of the car, when suddenly my boyfriend became worried and said that there were big red eyes looking at him ahead.
I looked in that direction and saw this creature with red eyes standing right in front of our car, it was quite tall and I had to look up. In a panic, I immediately turned off the radio and then we both heard a strange chirping sound that this creature made.
When we moved, the creature put its front limbs on the hood of our car and they looked like the hands of a man, and behind him there was something dark, like lowered wings. Then we turned on the headlights and in the bright light of the headlights we saw IT, looking like a big bat.
His skin was very dark and looked smooth and moist. Frightened by the bright light, the creature suddenly uttered a loud cry, and then threw its head and arms back and suddenly flew up. We heard the sound of wings flapping, and after a few seconds it landed right on the roof of the car and we screamed with fear.
From the screams, the creature took off again and landed a couple of meters from the car on the side where my boyfriend was sitting. We realized that we need to get out of there as soon as possible. I backed up and then I saw a creature right in front of me about three meters. I screamed and began to press the dial tone to drive him away and scare him. It took off and landed again a little further away.
When we decided that this creature was already far from us, we drove along the houses and saw from afar how this creature fluttered in the air over the cars parked in the parking lot. It flew at a low altitude, below the level of a lamppost.

When we got to my house, we sat in the car for a while, afraid to go out. My boyfriend was in shock, and I started hysterical with tears. It took half an hour to come to my senses more or less.
From that evening I started having terrible nightmares and I could hardly sleep at night, and I was also afraid to fall asleep without light. My boyfriend said he was having nightmares too.
I hope they will believe me, it was definitely not a big bird."
Lon Strickler, after receiving this letter, contacted the girl and asked her for details about what this creature looked like. The girl answered him.
“It was about 7 feet (just over 2 meters) tall and had a wingspan that was almost the same. Now it seems to me that it was just playing with us and wanted to scare rather than actually attack.
I suffered so much from fear at the sight of this creature that I vomited twice with excitement after that evening. I also had a persistent feeling that I was being watched, although my windows were covered with blackout curtains.
I still haven't come to my senses after all this. The incident also completely discouraged me from going somewhere at nightfall. Moreover, we have been in this parking lot countless times and have never seen this creature before."
