We are accustomed to the claim that the official history of UFOs began on June 24, 1947, when amateur pilot Kenneth Arnold saw over the Rocky Mountains a clear array of sparkling disks, as he described them, "flying like saucers launched by someone." But judging by the chronicles that have come down to us, we can assume that approximately the same unknown flying objects were observed all over the world and always.

Asia

In one of the most bureaucratic countries - China - back in 557, the appearance of obscure objects moving in a zigzag manner was meticulously described.

In 905, UFOs suddenly stopped and hovered for a while, and in 934, a strange object was observed in China that repeatedly changed shape during flight.

UFO in Medieval Japan Over Japan in 989, several flying objects merged into one, and in 1015, on the contrary, from two small flying objects, several luminous balls of smaller sizes flew out.

In 1133, flying objects in the form of shields were observed over Japan.

In 1235, the commander Ioritsuma with his army saw glowing objects in the shape of saucers that appeared above them, describing circles and loops in the sky all night.

In 1423, several flying objects moved in zigzags and merged into one, and in 1606 the objects stopped and hovered for a long time over the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto.

Europe

In 1104, a large cigar-shaped object was observed in the sky of England, around which several luminous disks circled.

In the manuscript of Amplefort Abbey (England), written in Church Latin, it is said that “one day in 1290, a huge oval silvery body, like a disk, appeared over the heads of the frightened monks. It slowly flew over them, causing great horror."

In the summer of 1355, many people watched over England the appearance of a large number of objects glowing with blue and red light. Objects moved across the sky in different directions, and it seemed that they were attacking each other. Then the "army" of red objects began to defeat the blue ones, which hastily descended to the ground.

In 1461, an unknown object flying over the city of Arras (France) suddenly began to move in a spiral.

In 1490, in Ireland, a silvery disc-shaped object flew over the rooftops several times, leaving a long trail. During its flight, the bell tore off the bell.

In 1520, a large ball flew over German Erfurt, accompanied by two small balls, while a rotating beam emanated from the large ball.

In April 1561, a large number of flying "plates" and "crosses" and two huge cylinders appeared over Nuremberg, from which groups of balls flew out. Simultaneously, numerous spheres and discs were observed, colored in red, blue and black.

They all staged a semblance of air combat in the sky, terrifying the city's population. After an hour, the objects began to descend and fall to the ground, destroying each other (looks like some kind of computer game).

In August 1566 over Basel (Switzerland) large "inclined pipes" were observed in the sky, from which balls emerged. At the same time, a large number of black spherical bodies were seen nearby, flying at high speed towards the Sun.

After a while, they made a half-turn and began to collide with each other, as if depicting a battle. Some of the objects turned fiery red and ate each other.

In the same 1566, luminous spherical objects were seen over Münster, Germany.

In 1646, in the city of Cambridge (England), in front of the audience, a rotating fireball first landed outside the city, and then "took off and rushed away with great speed."

On April 8, 1665, about two in the afternoon, fishermen near Barhöft (then the territory of Sweden, now Germany) saw sky ships fighting each other in the sky. After the battle, a dark object hovered in the sky.

“A flat round shape appeared in the sky, like a plate resembling a large man's hat … It had the color of a darkening moon, it hovered over the Church of St. Nicholas. There she remained motionless until evening. The fishermen were scared to death, they did not want to look in that direction, and covered their faces with their hands. The next day they all fell ill. The fishermen felt tremors and pain in the head and limbs. Many learned people have pondered over this event,”wrote the German author Erasmus Finks in 1689.

There is a 17th century report sent to the authorities from the Kirillo-Belozersk Monastery "about meteorites that appeared in the Belozersk district." It says that on August 15, 1663, over the village of Robozero, Vologda province, a luminous body with a diameter of about 40 meters appeared from the north, which, with a loud noise at low altitude, slowly moved southward, from its front part they were directed to a nearby village lake two beams.

Once over the lake, the body suddenly disappeared, then reappeared half a kilometer southwest, and soon disappeared again. Finally, it arose for the third time at a distance of half a kilometer west of the last place of appearance and, having faded, disappeared altogether. When trying to approach him on a boat, the peasants felt a strong heat, and the bottom of the lake was illuminated to a depth of 8 meters. The total duration of body observation was one and a half hours.

On April 2, 1716, a collision of two celestial objects was observed in the area of St. Petersburg. His description was made at the direction of Vice-Admiral Cruis and is given in the report of the Dutch envoy to the court of Peter I - Baron de Bee, kept in the archives of the USSR Navy. At 9 o'clock in the evening on a completely clear cloudless sky from the northeast a thick dark “cloud” with a pointed top and a wide base appeared, rushing across the sky with great speed, reaching half the height to the zenith in three minutes. Simultaneously, in the north, a second similar dark "cloud" appeared, moving eastward and flying up to the first "cloud" from the west. When these "clouds" approached, a light "column" was formed between them, which existed for several minutes.

Then both "clouds" collided and shattered, as if from a strong blow, and at the point of collision a vast flame appeared, accompanied by smoke, which was pierced by rays of flame in all directions. Along with this, many small "clouds" were observed, moving with incredible speed and spewing out bright flames. In addition, many bright arrows appeared, reaching a height of 80 degrees from the horizon. According to the description of eyewitnesses, the whole picture resembled a battle of fleets or armies and looked frightening.

The description also mentions that at this time in the northwest appeared a huge brilliant "comet", which rose 12 degrees above the horizon. The abnormal phenomenon lasted for about a quarter of an hour, by 10 o'clock in the evening the sky became clear again.

On December 11, 1741, at 21:45, in London, England, Lord Beauchamp saw a small fire oval descending from the sky. Having descended to a height of about 800 meters, he stopped and headed east, leaving a trail of fire and smoke behind him.

Also in London on March 19, 1748, at 19:45, Sir Hans Sloan saw a dazzling blue-white object descending in the western part of the sky, followed by a red-yellow "tail". After half a minute, the object disappeared.

In 1783, the Italian Cavello saw an oval, shiny body moving in leaps over the sea. After a while, it soared vertically upward and flew eastward, after which it abruptly changed its direction of flight and intensified the glow, illuminating the entire area. Then it changed from round to oblong, split in half and disappeared.

Italian ufologist Alberto Fengoglio discovered documents about a very unusual story related to the landing of a UFO and which occurred near the city of Alencon (France) on June 12, 1790 at about 5 pm. A police inspector named Libier was dispatched from Paris to investigate the incident. Local peasants, bystanders, told the inspector how they saw a large spinning ball the size of a carriage, surrounded by flames and flying at high speed. It began to fall over their terrain and crashed against the top of the hill, destroying an entire vegetable plantation in the process. The heat emitted by it ignited the grass and bushes, but the peasants extinguished them. The huge ball was so hot that it was impossible to touch it.

“The witnesses of this incident,” Libier wrote in his report, “were two mayors, a doctor and three other very influential persons, not to mention a huge crowd of peasants. All of them can confirm my report if necessary."

When the crowd surrounded the mysterious object, “something like a door opened in its walls, and a creature appeared outwardly similar to us, but dressed in a strange fashion, in a completely body-tight clothing. Seeing the crowd, the creature muttered something incomprehensible and ran into the forest."

The peasants shied away from the ball in horror, and after a few minutes the object exploded silently, leaving nothing behind but fine dust. A search for a mysterious person was organized, "but he seemed to disappear into thin air …".

In 1812, a large star appeared in the sky in Bukovina, accompanied by a beam of rays, and flew in the direction of Russia. Then she came back and appeared regularly for four months, while there was a war with the French in Russia.

In September 1851, over a hundred luminous discs appeared over Hyde Park in London during the World's Fair, which flew up from the east and north, after which they gathered together and flew away.

A Madrid newspaper for August 1863 states that “the evening before yesterday, a reddish disc with a ball of flame appeared over the southeastern part of Madrid. After standing motionless for a long time, the disk began to move rapidly in horizontal and vertical directions."

America

One of the first UFO sightings near the American mainland was recorded in 1517 in the logbook of the ship of the squadron of the conquistador Juan de Grijalva, located near the Yucatan Peninsula. Then a strange object appeared over the masts of the ships, which then hovered for three hours over the village of Kuotzakoalka, emitting bright rays.

Several UFO sightings are mentioned by Massachusetts (North America) Governor John Winthrop in his description of Boston in the 17th century. In March 1639, at about 10 pm, James Everell was crossing the Muddy River in the Back Bay area with two people and saw a bright light emanating from a rectangle about 9 feet wide in the sky. Hanging motionless at first, the object then moved along the Charles River towards Charleston and back for 2-3 hours, until it disappeared completely. Other witnesses confirmed this phenomenon.

On January 18, 1644, at 8 p.m., from the seashore in the Boston region in the northeast, a light rose above the horizon, coinciding in magnitude with the full moon. A few minutes later, a similar fire rose from the east. The two fires met over the harbor, in the area of Noddle Island, after which both disappeared behind the hills.

In the woodlands of the northern slope of Putney Hill, near Hopkeaton, New Hampshire, from 1750 to 1800, glowing balls were repeatedly noticed, mainly at night. According to reports, such a ball could chase a passerby, stop when the last one stopped, and continued pursuit as he walked on. The balloon approached the eyewitnesses up to 50 feet.

In July 1868, the inhabitants of Copiago (Chile) observed a large "bird" with stairs in the sky, making a "metallic" sound.

There is a version that the real reason for the "great fire" in Chicago on October 8, 1871 was the passage of a giant fireball that destroyed several settlements on its way. The heat emitted by the ball was so strong that even the marble burned under its influence, and the metal slipway on the river melted into a monolith. In the vicinity of Chicago, after the balloon's flight, hundreds of bodies of people were found who died for an unknown reason.

On the same night, such balloons swept over the states of Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois, in the city of Green Bay then 1,500 people died, in Pestigo 6,000 people.

On the night of April 13, 1879, a certain Henry Garrison from Jersey City (New Jersey) observed a bell-shaped object moving chaotically in the sky. Garrison told the New York Tribune about this incident, from where the story was reprinted in Scientific American.

Beginning in the 1880s, the United States began to receive numerous reports of the observation of so-called "airships" - cigar-shaped objects equipped with searchlights and unusual-looking propellers. Since then, reports of encounters with "airships" have become inherent in modern UFO reports.

On the evening of March 26, 1880, several people noticed a fish-like object in the sky at a low altitude above the Galisteo railway junction (Lamy, New Mexico), with a kind of fan at one end. Voices were heard from the object, and several figures were visible. The object disappeared towards the east.

In 1886, in Maracaibo (Venezuela), under the influence of an unknown oval object hanging near the house, tumors appeared on the bodies of 9 residents inside the house, which disappeared the next day, leaving black spots. For 9 days, these people did not feel anything, but on the 10th day, the affected areas festered, forming open wounds, people began to lose hair. At the same time, all the trees near the house dried up, and black spots appeared on them too. All the victims were sent to the hospital and survived.

In 1895, groups of unknown objects were observed flying over Mexico.

In the period from November 1896 to April 1897, a large number of observations of unknown objects by thousands of residents of individual cities were recorded in the United States, as the newspapers of that time wrote about. In 1896 in San Francisco and in 1897 in Chicago, Kansas City, and Sisterville, cigar-shaped objects hovered over cities and sent bright beams to the ground, similar to those of searchlights.

All of the above facts can be considered indisputable, if only for the reason that the then eyewitnesses had not even heard of Steven Spielberg and his "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". As you can see, mysterious events are constantly unfolding on planet Earth, as if in an arena, no matter who initiated them - aliens from other planets or, perhaps, our own descendants from the future.
