This case still causes lively controversy among ufologists. Someone considers it a hoax, someone believes that, in fact, somewhere in our solar system there is an unusual planet, hidden from our eyes, from where mysterious UFOs fly to Earth.
INVITATION ON BOARD
For some reason, Sid Padrick from Watsonville (California, USA) could not sleep on that early January morning in 1965, somewhere nearby a dog was barking angrily, and he went out into the yard to find out the cause of her anxiety. It was still dusk on the street, and the more fantastic was the picture that appeared to his eyes. A flying saucer hovered in the dark sky, about 20 meters in diameter.
She hovered silently next to his house and sank to the ground. Padrik literally froze for a moment, but he quickly came to his senses and, unlike many more curious earthlings, did not wait for further developments, but rushed away. Almost immediately he was stopped by a voice from the side of the plate, which unexpectedly said in pure English: “Do not be afraid, we are not hostile to you. We have no intention of hurting you."
Stunned, Sid froze and turned towards the spaceship. The plate stood motionless, and in its monolithic body a hole and a ladder appeared, as if it were being invited to board. Padrick then could not understand why he was not afraid to approach the UFO and climb aboard it: either he was influenced telepathically, or he simply trusted the voice that sounded so convincing.
On board the UFO, Sid saw 8 aliens, which in appearance practically did not differ from earthlings, among them there was even a very beautiful woman. The UFO pilots had rather dark skin, a strange angular cut of large eyes, and very long, thick, beautiful hair. They wore white jackets and trousers with a bluish tint, these clothes reminiscent of earthly ski suits.
Only one of the aliens, a man on board the UFO, was fluent in English, the other crew members clearly did not understand this language. Padrick noticed that the alien translator clearly lingered before answering even the simplest question, it looked like he was telepathically translating it to the whole team and perhaps consulted with her before giving an answer.

It should be noted that telepathic communication is noted in many reports of contacts with aliens, but usually UFO pilots use it to communicate with earthlings.
The newcomers proved themselves to be hospitable hosts, and Sid had the opportunity to visit the most various Kirill Butus premises of the ship, where he observed numerous working devices and mechanisms. He most remembered one apparatus that clearly looked like an anachronism on board this ship, it was somewhat reminiscent of an ordinary terrestrial teletype with a tape moving around it.
Padric tried to discuss the ship's energy system with the crew, but his knowledge was insufficient to understand anything from the aliens' explanations. The crew, on the other hand, decided to demonstrate the saucer to him in action: they took him with them on a short trip and were even allowed to wander 350 km northwest of his house, where this time the flying saucer landed. Then Sid was again taken to his house.
SECRET PLANET
The most interesting and unusual for ufologists was Padrick's recollection of the aliens' story about their home planet. Here the earthling discovered many unusual things. If you believe the aliens, then on their planet there was the most perfect world that you can imagine: in the alien homeland there were no diseases, no crime, and universal equality flourished. The real sensation was their statement that their planet is somewhere in our solar system, but reliably hidden from observation from the Earth …
Similar statements about the mysterious planets hidden from earthlings in the solar system sounded during contacts with aliens and earlier. Even before the beginning of the space era, guests from outer space even talked about the planets hidden from earthlings by the Moon … Of course, with the advent of mankind into space, all such statements did not find absolutely any confirmation.
Is it possible at all for the existence of a planet still unknown to us, but suitable for life in our solar system? If there is such a planet, then it can only be Gloria - a double of the Earth, a planet, according to the hypothesis of the Leningrad astronomer Kirill Butusov, located from us in the opposite direction behind the Sun and hidden from the observation of earthlings by the star itself and the radiance of its crown.
According to the author of the hypothesis, the area inaccessible for observation in this direction is about 600 Earth diameters and is quite sufficient to shelter a rather large planet from us, which, in terms of its conditions and parameters, can correspond to our planet and be a haven for intelligent life.
There is, however, another much more fantastic hypothesis that the "hidden" alien planet may be in our solar system, but in a different dimension.
THEY ARRIVED WITH THE PURPOSE OF STUDYING OUR CIVILIZATION
Unfortunately, the aliens did not explain to Padrick how their planet was hidden from observation from the Earth, it is quite possible that they even misinformed him, because in many other cases of contact with earthlings, UFO pilots often called their homeland the planets of our solar system that were obviously unsuitable for life.

Unlike many other contacts, this time the representative of the earthlings was given high confidence, he even visited a kind of prayer room on board the ship and was present during the religious ceremony and repeated their prayers after the aliens.
The aliens did not spread much about the purposes of their visit to Earth. They told Sid that they flew in to observe earthlings and to study our civilization. In a conversation with them, an interesting remark was made that our planet is also being explored by other UFOs, representatives of other civilizations.
Padrick parted with the aliens quite amicably, they kept their promise: no medical experiments or examinations were carried out on Sid, he was practically not even asked about himself. Most of all, Padric got it when he reported his contact with aliens to ufologists and to local authorities. Many simply thought that he had invented everything, everything that he said seemed too incredible.
Journalists mocked Sid, using subtle headlines and misinterpreting Padrick's facts. Ufologists tried to catch him on any inconsistencies in his stories. It all ended with the fact that, exhausted by journalists and ufologists, Sid declared the undesirability of new meetings and conversations on the topic of contact, changed his place of residence and disappeared from the sight of annoying researchers.
