Separate US government documents published by Julian Asange, founder of WikiLeaks, mention aliens and UFOs.

1. Lithuanian politician believes that UFOs are controlled by Russians

A 2006 report from the American Embassy in Vilnius, Lithuania mentions a strange comment by Albinas Janushka, adviser to the Lithuanian prime minister.

Yanushka, who positions himself as a patriot fighting against Russian influence, warned of the existence of a group of people controlled from the East and a group of UFOs creating influence from space. He also added that "there is a small group that is trying to rationally analyze the situation and objectively assess what happened."

The abbreviation UFO (UFO) in English means not only unidentified flying objects, but also unidentified foreign vehicles. It is possible that Janushka had the latter meaning in mind, and not aliens. The document notes that Janushka has great influence in Lithuania: “The continuing influence of Albinas Janushka in Lithuanian politics should not be underestimated. He is a good strategist and has connections in the circles of the Lithuanian political elite."

2. Tajik mayor believes there is life on other planets

Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev met with US Ambassador Ken Gross in 2010. Gross later described this meeting in a document that was published in Wikileaks.

The conversation mainly concerned the opening of an American cultural center in the city, the upcoming elections, the losses suffered by Tajiks and Americans in Afghanistan, and the construction of a dam. However, during the conversation, the topic of aliens was also raised.

Gross wrote: "Ubaydulloev believes that life exists on other planets, but we must focus on solving problems on Earth." Gross quoted Ubaydulloev's quote: "We know that life exists on other planets, but first we must achieve peace here."

The conversation turned out to be difficult for Gross, who described it as "excruciating 90 minutes." Gross described Ubaydulloyev as "difficult, unpredictable and sometimes hostile." During the conversation, Gross said, the mayor lied about free elections, voluntary donations for the dam and free media.

3. Adherents of an alien religion want to clone a person

A number of unnamed documents, one from the US Embassy in Ottawa and the other from the US Consulate in Montreal, raise concerns about the Raelite religion in Canada.

The Raelites believe that humanity was created by aliens in a laboratory experiment, the documents say. They tried to persuade Catholic students in Quebec schools to give up their faith. The Raelites had a plan to give crosses to schoolchildren to burn them.

One of the documents quotes from local media: “The key goal of the Raelites is to create life in the laboratory in order to achieve the immortality of people, and to create a civilization on another planet. They also want to build an embassy in Israel to meet the Elohim (advanced alien race) when they return to Earth in 2035. The group has been criticized for supporting the use of genetic research and eugenics to improve the human race.”

At the time of writing, the Raelites claimed to have successfully cloned a human.

Other references to aliens and UFOs in WikiLeaks documents

Belarusian Defense Minister Yuri Zhadobin said that the ministry no longer investigates paranormal phenomena, as it was done in Soviet times, due to insufficient funding. Another unnamed document said that Japanese cabinet minister Michimura believed that alien ships flew near Earth, and he was unhappy that his country's government officially denied all UFO reports.

In another post, French author Eric Julien claimed that he was abducted by aliens. He said that he "received information at the physical level," according to which a giant fragment of a comet would fall into the Atlantic Ocean on May 25, 2006 and cause a strong tsunami. The prediction did not come true.
