I am sure that many of you have heard about geoglyphs in the famous Nazca Valley in Peru at least once in your life. But did you know that this is not the only place with giant images.

Just a few tens of kilometers from this valley there is a small settlement of Palpa, and a huge number of geoglyphs were also discovered there.

But due to the fact that this place is much less popular than Nazca, it is practically unexplored. Oddly enough, the locals knew about these geoglyphs for a very long time. But the official science began to be interested in them only in the nineties of the last century.

There are both simple geometric shapes (lines and stripes) and very complex designs. But this complex is very different from the one in Nazca.

And the first significant difference is the many small hills with heavily indented slopes. In fact, it is not a plain. Some researchers, looking at the tops of the hills, suggested that in ancient times they could have been intentionally cut off by someone - for more convenient drawing.

There are stripes in this place reaching several hundred meters in width. There are also those who, crossing each other, create many strange images.

If you remember the Nazca geoglyphs, then there is only one image of a human being - modern scientists call him an "astronaut".

In Palpa, there are about a dozen such images, and they are made in completely different ways and with varying degrees of elaboration. But there are few images of animals and birds.

The second difference between Palpa and Nazca is the presence of a large number of images here, very verified in terms of mathematical proportions. You can also find an image of a "star" here, although it looks more like a mandala.

Some researchers believe that the geoglyphs in Nazca and Palpa were made by the same civilization, for which the manufacture of such pieces was not difficult.

And in Palpa, everything is further complicated by the fact that these geoglyphs are depicted not on the plain, but on the rugged mountainous terrain. And they stretch for miles.

There is a feeling that some specific technology was used to create such geoglyphs - they were clearly not laid by hand. After all, straight lines that stretch here for many kilometers never deviate from an ideal straight line.

Official science believes that all this was laid down by the hands of ancient people. Okay, let's assume that was the case. Just imagine - you have several tens or hundreds of people and you need to organize their work.

Let's say that you decide the issues of constant communication between the "teams" and other issues, but look what happens - because all of them should have direct access to the construction site of geoglyphs, then there should have been just a huge number of walking paths.

But nothing of the kind was found here. Were they levitating, these ancient builders?
