In the evening on the road
“It happened over 13 years ago and I was 12 then. I grew up in a small village in Hungary and we didn’t have internet or computers. Therefore, we spent all our free time playing on the street with neighboring children.
That evening, my twin brother and 4 of our friends were playing near the fields when they suddenly saw a huge balloon landing on the field not far from us. We ran to him and it turned out to be actually much further than we thought, so when we ran to the ball, it was already completely dark and we had to go home, otherwise we would have got it.
On the way back, my twin brother and I decided to take a different path and separate from our friends. We did this because they could go to look for us and follow that road, and secondly, that road was unpaved and completely without lights, it would be a bold step to walk along it in the dark.
And so we went along that road and it quickly became cold and very dark, and still very quiet. But suddenly I heard the voice of another friend of mine ahead (he did not play with us that evening) and he called me to his name. And we even saw his dark silhouette on the road ahead.
But when we got closer, my blood froze in my veins (it still freezes at the memory of that incident), because we saw this dark figure and it did not stand on the ground, but hovered low above the road.

I was the first to realize that I was seeing something completely abnormal, stopped my brother and we began to slowly retreat back. And the figure still continued to call me by my name in the voice of my friend. However, as soon as we backed away, this voice immediately changed, now it became deep and it was more like a growl, like a dog or other animal.
And then he began to move in our direction and it was incredibly fast. Vzhuh! And he rushed right past my face. And disappeared.
We immediately ran home straight across the field, and when we did, we did not leave our bedroom all night, we were so scared.
Then I tried to discuss this case with my brother, but for some reason he decided that it was a dream. But I saw it all in reality. And even later, from the old people from our village, I knew that almost two hundred years ago in this area two boys (also twins) disappeared without a trace during the winter. People were looking for them, but even when spring came and the snow melted, they did not find anything from them.
I don't know, maybe we met one of them in the form of a ghost, or there was something else. But it was completely real, especially when it flew past my face.
And recently I saw a documentary about ghosts and there was something similar called "beckoning demon". It imitates the voice of your friends or family in order to lure you to itself, because the demon himself can attack you only within a certain zone."
Skinny with a huge head
“This story was told to me by my friend and it happened to her two years ago. Late at night, she sat in the car with her boyfriend in the parking lot and they talked.
It was not far from her home in a city in the south of Saskatchewan (Canada), which was on the outskirts of the city and next to the parking lot was a large wasteland, the size of two football fields. The wasteland is surrounded by a fence (Paranormal news - paranormal-news.ru).
And so my friend accidentally looked in the direction and suddenly saw an unusual humanoid creature near this fence.
According to her, it was very dark (and therefore it was difficult to see it at night), very thin and very tall. At the same time, his head was disproportionately large, and his arms were very long.
This creature moved slowly along the fence and it was possible to notice that its thinness was disproportionate. One part of his body was very thin, the other more "well-fed".
The girl told her friend about this creature and they both looked at him in shock until it completely disappeared into the darkness.
Neither my friend nor I myself have ever heard of anything of this kind. This is not a skinwalker or a "crawler", neither of them have a disproportionately huge head. That's why I don't know what to think."
Childhood monster
“When I was 10 years old, we lived in a house in north London and opposite our house there was a field where we walked our dog in the morning. That morning it was my turn to walk the dog and I was not afraid to be there alone, since we have a fairly safe area.
And so I and my dog were walking across the field along the path and suddenly the dog stopped and stared at something ahead. Her fur on the nape stood on end and she began to growl loudly. And then I saw this creature about 15 meters ahead of us.
It was as tall as a man, grayish in color, and had something very long on its front limbs, it was either his fingers or claws, from my place I could not understand this.
It stood very hunched over and looked like a chimpanzee trying to get down on all fours. And on its back one could see something like long protruding thorns, shaped like a porcupine.
At the same time, his figure seemed human, and his muzzle was like that of a dog, but not very elongated. It is difficult to say whether he had bare skin or there was hair or scales, I do not remember the details. I also do not remember what his eyes, ears and mouth were.
I saw this creature for a few seconds, and then it ran and disappeared into the bushes. And his running style and overall movement style looked very creepy and scared me a lot. I immediately ran back to the house and never walked alone in this field again."
A ghost behind your back?
“My friend sent me this photo. There were other strange phenomena in this room before, including the lamps that reacted to movement, turned on at night by themselves.
And she is sure that this is not a dog. Her dog does not walk in rooms at night. I don't know what to think about this photo. Maybe this is some kind of distortion when shooting? However, I see no clutter in other parts of the image.
Maybe it's something due to the peculiarities of these lamps from Amazon. In any case, we later talked a lot about ghosts and science."
Premonitions
“I had four premonitions in my life and they all came true.
1) Hurricane Katrina. When I was very little, I painted pictures of cities destroyed by tornadoes and floods, and I had the same dreams. I grew up in New Orleans in the 90s. Many years later, when all these drawings were long lost, in 2005 our house was flooded when the dam collapsed due to Hurricane Katrina.
We lost everything except our lives, and my grandmother said that I predicted this misfortune thanks to the spirits.
2) Attack on the Bataklan theater. A week before that terrible Friday, November 13, 2015, I had a recurring nightmare about terrorists killing me and many other people in an incomprehensible city. I couldn't figure out what this place was, but it was clear that there was a concert. And there were many dead people there.
When this attack happened, I realized from news footage that this is the same place that I had seen in my nightmares. It was Paris. I didn't feel guilty as there was nothing I could do about it.
3) Death of grandmother. It was much more personal and I don't know if it was a foreboding. The grandmother was very ill by the end of 2016 and she would have died soon anyway. One night I had a dream where I was a young child and sat next to my sleeping father and grandmother, who was sitting in a rocking chair.
Then the grandmother got up from the chair and said that she had to leave. I asked “Where?”, And she answered with the same words that she had to leave. Then she turned to her father and said the incomprehensible phrase "He is sick too," and then she said to me "I love you" and left through the white wooden door.
4) A probable premonition that has not yet come true. Starting on February 14, 2019, I began to see the same dream frequently. It always starts the same way - I am sitting in a cave somewhere in the north (Europe or northern China). And there is a bald man named Greg or Craig whose name is shouted out by people who look like Chinese.
Behind the back of the Chinese there is a giant row of black and solid things with vertical rows of lights on them, and I cannot understand what it is, but I felt a great uneasiness. Weapon?"
It walks around the room
“My mom and I just sat in the kitchen recently and talked about life, and then we started talking about the strange things that happened in our house. I told her about the strange noises that I often hear in the bathroom and how something sometimes blocks the light of the night lamp, as if walking around the room.
And then we both saw something moving on the stairs. It looked like a spot, but it flashed so quickly that we couldn't see anything. However, our dog started barking like crazy at something we didn't see.
She then began to bark more and more often, straining from barking and once it happened already at 4 in the morning. I got up to check what was there and saw that someone had moved my bike and dropped it. He stood in the same place for several months without problems, and suddenly he was pushed and dropped to the floor.
Surprisingly, just a few days before that, I specifically checked whether it was securely standing there so that nothing accidentally touched and dropped it.
Now I am officially thinking. that a ghost lives in our house. It walks in my bathroom and in my room, moves my bike. It's not too scary, but I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me."
Something near my aunt
“A few years ago, my aunt and friend went camping and took a lot of tripod photos there. But this photo came out very strange. I see a witch's face here that looks like a witch from Disney's Sleeping Beauty cartoon.
When brightened, the subject looks even more intimidating. And according to the author, there was nothing behind the women that could give a similar effect when shooting.
