The Dyatlov pass is located in the Ivdel district of the Sverdlovsk region, in the Northern Urals. The vicinity of the pass is the northern region of the Sverdlovsk region, which borders on the Perm Territory, the Komi Republic and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The Dyatlov Pass is a very popular and demanded tourist destination in the Northern Urals, which attracts many tourists from all over Russia and not only. This generally unremarkable place gained its fame due to the mysterious death of nine Sverdlovsk tourists in February 1959.

On the night of February 1-2, 1959, on the slope of the Severouralskaya Mount Kholatchakhl, not far from the very pass that now bears the name of Igor Dyatlov, a group of nine people, who were making a ski trip of a high degree of severity, died under very mysterious circumstances. The tragedy, which even now causes fierce debate about what really happened on the unknown route, is one of the most mysterious and terrible incidents of the 20th century, at this time there are 64 versions of what is happening, and its true cause has not been revealed to this day. Around the night of February 2, 1959, 9 tourists went on a hike led by Igor Dyatlov. The composition of the group was as follows:

3. Rustem Vladimirovich Slobodin, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanics;

Yuri Yudin left the group due to an illness that caused severe pain in his leg, before entering a more active part of the route, which is why he was the only one from the whole group who survived.

Chronology of the campaign
They had a detailed trek plan: their trek was of the highest category of difficulty (third), which included a route of 350 km and, in addition, ascents to the peaks of the mountains (Otorten and Oiko-Chakur), this trek was to be dedicated to the XXI Congress of the CPSU …
The group led by Dyatlov left Sverdlovsk for Serov by train on January 23, and she arrived there on January 24. In the morning, the Dyatlovites took a bus to the village of Vizhay. On January 26, the group hiked to the village of loggers, then it switched to skiing, the Dyatlovites were supposed to reach the point of the final route on February 12, but they did not get in touch, loved ones began to worry, search work began.
Search work
The search work began with specifying the route along which Igor Dyatlov's group set off. Only on February 25 were the first remains of the camp found. On the slope of Mount Kholatchakhl, 300 meters from the summit, a group of searchers found a tent with left personal belongings and equipment of tourists. The wall of the tent was cut with a knife.
Later, the investigation established that the camp was set up on February 1 in the evening, and the cuts were made from the inside by the missing tourists themselves. They also found out that the Dyatlovites ran out of the tent in a 30-degree frost without shoes and partially dressed. And in socks in the snow and frost we went down the slope. First, they found five tourists further down the slope, four were found already in May, when the snow began to melt. Medical examination found that not all of the group died from hypothermia. Abrasions and scratches were found on the bodies of the deceased, their ribs were broken, one of the girls had no tongue and eyeballs, while traces of strangers and faces and external influences were not noticed. What happened on that slope in 1959? There are various versions of what happened, the most basic of them are:
Avalanche
This was the first thought that came to the rescuers' mind. The guys were frightened by the noise of a possible snow melting, they cut the wall of the tent, jumped out of it, ran … but! The search team found no signs of snow melting. Also, the damage to the victims was different. And where could Lyudmila Dubinina's tongue and eyeballs go?
Muncie
Mansi are the indigenous population of those places. At that time, the investigators suggested that it was the population who dealt with the tourists who entered their sacred territory, and eventually came to the conclusion that no one attacked the children, they themselves cut the tent with a knife from the inside to run out into the street.
Sound
There is such a natural phenomenon as infrasound, under the influence of which a person has an inexplicable feeling of panic.
But now scientists argue that in this case, the guys would scatter in different directions, and would not follow each other, one might say in a line.
Runaway prisoners
There was a correctional colony not far from this place. According to investigators, at that time there were no prisoners escaping at all. And it would be enough, stupid, to kill a group of students and just leave without taking any money or things. But there was a trace of a human boot in the snow, and he could not belong to any of the dead, since all the dead were without shoes. But the trail has already been forgotten.
UFO
During the search for bodies, rescuers found Igor Dyatlov's camera in the tent. There were many frames on the camera, and one of them showed an image with a ball of fire on it. Investigators speculated that it could be a UFO. Surprisingly, people who did not depend on each other told the investigation that on those nights they saw incomprehensible luminous objects in the sky.
The KGB
It was said that the death of tourists was at the hands of military people. The group saw some kind of strategic structure, which provoked the military. There were also rumors that some of the members were a KGB officer, but these rumors are unlikely.
But the most interesting thing is that the cadaveric spots on the bodies of the children did not correspond to the position of their bodies. After their death, someone turned and swapped them. The investigation was confident that there was no one else on the pass except for the Dyatlov group. But what about the boot mark? There is not a word about this in the materials of the criminal case, not evidence. The investigation really did not want the case to get publicized. But it was not possible to hide the incident.

There was a strong interest in seeing what was really there.

Sergey: We stopped in the village of Ushma, one of the participants in the hike got a leg injury while descending, which is why we had to fold.
Anastasia: And in your professional opinion, what could have happened to the Dyatlov group? What version of what happened do you adhere to?
Sergey: To be honest, I don't know, it's hard to say what exactly happened to them. But I am more of the opinion that some secret new weapon was tested in the area of the Mountain of the Dead, and most likely Dyatlov's expedition fell under his influence, or a group of students became accidental witnesses, which is why the military took such measures. besides this theory, it also seems that there is something mystical, because it is so difficult to explain.

Sergey: At the top? There is regret and nothing else. Regret that nothing has changed. Only emptiness is sharper.
On the basis of these mysterious events, films and books are released, in 2013 a film was shot, which was produced by Alexander Rodnyansky, in which American students went to the Mountain of the Dead to solve the death of Igor Dyatlov's group, the film did not make a big splash on the public, the audience considered the film pseudo- documentary giving low marks, which affected the ratings of the film.
To this day, everything that happened remains a mystery, no one can give an exact answer what happened to a group of tourists back in 1959. Now people are looking for the exposure of this secret, spreading all the information on the Internet resources, but whether this information is true no one gives an answer, and apparently no one can give it.
