British ufologists claim that a windmill in Lincolnshire, the blades of which were mysteriously damaged, took the blow of a UFO

A windmill in the town of Soniholm lost its 20-meter blade. Another blade was severely damaged.

Local councilor Robert Palmer said he saw a round, white spot of light that seemed to hang in the air.

“I saw a circle of white light, otherwise I cannot describe it. A round ball of white light with a reddish border that hung over the windmills,”says Palmer.

The organization Ecotricity, which owns the air mills, says it is investigating the incident and is considering all possible versions. According to her representatives, the nature of the damage is extremely unusual.

“We have no explanation now. We used everything there and collected pieces of the blade for analysis. Let's see if we can determine the cause of what happened,”says Dale Vince, founder of Ecotricity. “Until we have a clear explanation, we will not reject the UFO version,” he adds.

Flying Saucer Bureau UFO spokesman Russ Kellett said several eyewitnesses told them about unusual phenomena in the area.

“One of them saw an object on Saturday night, which he first took on a low-flying plane. Another person heard loud unusual noises early Sunday morning.

A piece of ice?

According to Peter Schuebel, a windmill designer at the University of Nottingham, if the turbine was not working, it would take 10 tons to inflict such damage.

But in the event that the blades of the mill rotated, much less effort is enough to break them off.

“This is clearly not a bird. It could have been a large piece of ice that slipped off a nearby turbine,”he suggested.

The UK Department of Defense said it was not conducting any investigation into the incident.

“We only monitor cases of illegal intrusion into the country's airspace. If there are no signs of a potential threat, we do not try to establish the nature of such phenomena,”said a ministry spokesman.

The Broken Mill is one of twenty installed in Lincolnshire last August.
