These strange surreal photos were born out of childhood fears and nightmares of American photographer Arthur Tress.
In the early 1950s, young Arthur began photographing circus freaks, dilapidated buildings and an amusement park in his native Coney Island, and a decade later he conceived and implemented this project.
Well, the result is quite impressive. And terrifies.
