Channel 4 has unveiled a new TV show Meat the Family, which will face a dilemma: eat a pet or stop eating meat. Representatives of the TV channel want to show "the path of the animal from the field to the plate."

The TV channel, known for its provocative programs, is launching a new reatile show called Meat the Family. Convinced meat eaters will become its heroes. For three weeks, they will, with love and tenderness, take care of any farm animal (lamb, calf, chicken or pig). “Like a family member,” the organizers of the TV show emphasize. In the end, the participants must either kill this pet and eat it, or refuse meat.

Nicola Brown, editor of the channel's department, admits that the idea of the show is dictated by life. Vegetarians are increasingly asserting themselves and their principles, forcing the public to listen to them. An employee of the program admits that participating in the TV show Meat the Family will be a difficult emotional experiment for everyone - for the editors, for the characters, and for the film crew. By the example of this program, each viewer will be able to really see the path of the animal “from field to plate”.

Television and media analyst Virginia Mouseler has already named the new show "the most transgressive show of the year." She stated that with this program, people will finally start to wonder how they can hug their dog while putting another animal in the oven.

It is absolutely incomprehensible why such generalizations - animals intended for meat are kept in a completely different way from pets. It’s just, apparently, the vegetarian lobby in Britain is so strong that the transfer has every chance of success.

This is not the first provocative TV show. Previously, Channel 4 aired the program Train Your Baby like a Dog, in which several episodes showed the process of raising a child by an animal trainer. A three-year-old son was treated using commands and a special device used to train dogs.
