The CIA, by order of Barack Obama, has declassified thousands of documents related to UFOs, flying saucers, aliens and other mysterious phenomena.
Some of the data presented recently by the CIA deserve, according to experts, a lot of attention. They belong to the first post-war times and are still classified under the highest secrecy. One of the incidents happened in 1952 in East Germany, when residents reported the flight of a huge "frying pan" with a diameter of 15 meters. State security agents took part in the investigation of this phenomenon. Similar UFOs have been spotted in North Africa and Spain.
The CIA documents even contain 10-point instructions on how to conduct a UFO study. The CIA was also working to create a network of community groups to track "alien activity."
The intelligence agency held several meetings with scientists to discuss unidentified flying objects, but scientists said that UFOs are of interest for intelligence.
The declassification of documents was timed to coincide with the premiere of new films from the famous television series "The Secret Documents". It is believed that American intelligence used the event to advertise it to convince the public that it really cares about the safety of Americans, and not just supplies weapons to Syrian jihadists.
The once again fashionable topic of aliens was supported by the main participant in the election race, Hillary Clinton, who promised voters that she would get to the bottom of the UFO if she became president.
However, Grant Cameron, who researches UFO ties between the presidential administrations, noted that the CIA has not released any UFO documents dating back to 1997. But already a great achievement is the fact that the CIA for the first time admitted its involvement in the "UFO project".
