Since ancient times, people have been attracted by everything mysterious. Extraterrestrial intelligence and life on other planets have long been subjects for thorough research and long debate. Since the second half of the 20th century, the number of UFO eyewitnesses and researchers - ufologists - has rapidly increased. Omich Andrey Kortnev has been fond of ufology for more than ten years and swears that he saw a flying saucer with his own eyes.
- For the first time I happened to see a UFO at the age of 14, - says Andrey. - On a winter evening, I accompanied the girl home. To please her, he tried his best to show off his knowledge: he told ancient Greek myths, showing the most beautiful constellations of the Northern Hemisphere in the night sky. Suddenly, from the constellation Hercules, which is very clearly visible in the winter sky, something incomprehensible began to move directly towards us. It was an oval aircraft hovering over a hundred meters above us. In the next second, something slowly began to approach us. It became so uncomfortable that the girl and I snuggled up to each other. The strange thing, meanwhile, sent a dazzling beam of light at us, from which we involuntarily had to cover our face with our hands and close our eyes. Then the beam disappeared, and the UFO, hanging over us for some more time,began to rise rapidly upward, then disappeared into the night darkness.
After that we shared with my counterpart the feelings we experienced: they were the same. It seemed to us that someone invisible literally "probed" us from head to toe.
The second time I saw two UFOs at once from the balcony of my apartment. They were very much like those that are usually painted in pictures: plate-shaped, but different sizes. On the lower part of each there were three luminous circles. Absolutely noiselessly the cymbals moved one after the other, hung in the air, took off … It seemed that they were playing catch-up. For about a minute, we watched "this game" with a neighbor who liked to drink. When the plates flew away at a speed that no earthly machine is able to develop, the neighbor said: "It's time to quit the moonshine." And I believed in the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations.
Since then, I have been looking for like-minded people and eyewitnesses who have seen UFOs. Unfortunately, there was nothing mysterious and inexplicable in the photographs and videos brought by people. Studying the presented material, to my deep regret, I found luminous lanterns instead of plates, or the photographs captured the phenomena associated with human activity.
I would not have seen - I would not believe
Kortnev is passionate about ufology, but does not consider himself a gullible person. He has a higher technical education and … a huge interest in the unknown.
Promotional video:
- Andrey, do you have many like-minded people?
- Not really. Many are skeptical of ufologists, they often call us schizophrenics, twist their fingers to our temples … However, people who believe only in what they have personally "felt" can be understood. I myself am. If I had not seen what I had seen, I would not have believed that this could be.
- Why do you think aliens (if they do exist) constantly visit us on Earth, but have not yet established contact with earthlings?
- They undoubtedly exist! Imagine: there are billions of planets in the universe. Well, it cannot be that at least one of them does not live intelligent beings. I think that contact is still impossible, because our civilizations do not coincide in the degree of intelligence. The world of "flying saucers" is far ahead of us in development. The aliens do not try to establish contact with us for the same reason that we do not establish contact, for example … with fish. Is that an experiment of some kind on us.
- Ufologist Butch Witkowski, founder of the Pennsylvania UFO Research Center, repeatedly noted in his interviews that aliens abduct earthlings and even injure them in a manner unknown on Earth. What is your opinion on this matter?
- All the missing people found dead, according to the conclusions of pathologists, died either from an overdose of cocaine, or they were torn apart by wild animals, or killed by other people, but certainly not aliens.
Alien abduction (or, in other words, spacenaping) has been devoted to a considerable layer of research. In 1992, physicists and psychologists held a symposium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and three years later the collection Abduction was published. The stories of the abducted people were different: some were allegedly taken to other planets, which they described in detail under the influence of hypnosis; others were dragged into their plates by aliens …
All victims, without exception, said that upon returning to Earth they felt depressed, sought solitude, experienced a guilt complex and a sense of inferiority.
Trying to prove the reality of abductions, ufologists are looking for eyewitnesses. For example, in Manhattan in November 1989, several independent witnesses stated that they saw a woman fly out of the window of her apartment, accompanied by strange creatures who placed her inside a UFO, and he plunged into the river. But I am a realist: I believe only in what I saw with my own eyes.
- We have a lot of earthly problems: overpopulation, depletion of the planet's resources, disease … And scientists are chasing something ghostly and mythical, spending crazy money on it. But why look for a black cat in a dark room? Everything has its time. If aliens exist, and the meeting has not yet taken place, then this time has not yet come. Isn't it better to throw all your strength and knowledge for the benefit of earthlings?
- The answer lies in the very nature of man. If we didn’t strive to understand the unknown and didn’t try to look beyond the horizon, we would not be people. The suppression of desires to unravel the mysteries of the universe corresponds to the suppression of one's own nature. Is it possible to go … against nature?
Warning
If you decide to study ufology, Andrey advises, then:
- - take your hobby as a hobby;
- - remember that 90% of anything is sheer nonsense;
- - you can admit everything, but believe nothing without confirmation.
Ufology is a difficult, thankless and practically unpaid occupation. You will be faced with ridicule, trouble, you will be twisted at your temple. There is only one consolation: in the modern world, the bonfire of the Inquisition is not waiting for you.
Interesting about UFOs
* New York has a dedicated hotline for reporting UFO encounters and other unexplained events.
* According to the observations of ufologists, Russia is the most visited country by aliens, followed by Great Britain and Scotland.
* There is an opinion that the bases of aliens are located deep underground. In particular, one of the bases may be located under the Ayu-Dag mountain in the Crimea.
* In addition to the existence of the term UFO, there is an abbreviation NGO (unidentified floating object), meetings with which were recorded in many logbooks of ships sailing in the Persian and Siam Gulfs, as well as in the South China Sea.
Ufology - the activity of collecting and analyzing information about UFOs, is not a scientific discipline. Academic science at the moment is not ready to recognize "alien hunters" as scientific workers, and the majority of the population is not at all interested in the status of ufology.
