As local residents of one of the Chisinau districts said, the lake located there is dangerous. So the other day a teenager drowned there again.
It turns out that on the site of this lake there was a fraternal burial of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. The bodies were not buried, but simply dumped in one heap. Subsequently, a pit was dug at this place under the lake itself.
A similar story with restless souls was told by a Chisinau old-timer, rector of the St. John Theological Church in Peresechino, Father Vitaly.
- I will tell you a story that I witnessed. Where the Prosecutor General's Office is now located, the Moldavian Metropolitanate was located in the 60s, and just below the Ilian Church, in which the monks lived. The monks were buried there. Then the Moldavian Metropolitanate was moved to st. Bendery, opposite the prison, and the Ilian church was destroyed and a road was built. The then Prosecutor General Balaban turned to the Moldovan Metropolitanate with a strange question. It was about the fact that employees of the Prosecutor General's Office often fell ill, died, and had accidents. The Metropolitan sent him to me, - says Father Vitaly.
According to him, he was summoned to the office of the prosecutor general, and he gave advice on what to do.
- I said that they are like a powder keg. To calm the souls of dead monks, it was necessary to build a house church. I advised that the attorney general go to church every morning before work. However, the church was never built, - said Father Vasily.
According to him, something similar can happen on the lake.
- If this is true, of course, it is necessary that a priest come there at least twice a year and illuminate the place, - Father Vasily recommended.
