The heroine of this story is a resident of Belarus (having kindly agreed to the publication of the photographs, she asked not to give her name - there is no need for the family to pay too much attention). In the summer, she and her son went fishing in the vicinity of the evicted village, located near the border of the exclusion zone.
Residents of the settlement were evacuated 30 years ago as a result of the world's largest man-made disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and since then, no one has lived in it. Even now, when the territory officially belongs to an area with an optimal radiation background and there is no control regime there, the land remains deserted. Nature, untouched by human hands for more than a quarter of a century, has returned to its original state.
They parked the car at the side of the road, turned on soft music and went down to the river to fish. During this time, they did not hear anything suspicious. When we returned back with the catch, the woman noticed fresh tracks on the road over the tire print. Curious, she took several photographs. It would seem that there is nothing strange: traces were left by some kind of hoofed animal - a roe deer, a horse or a wild boar. If not for one distinctive detail: the creature was upright and moved (possibly jumped) on two legs.
The distance between steps is a little more than a meter. Maybe it was a foal, and, of course, he did not walk on two legs, but just stepped on the trail? But why alone? And, judging by the dents, the animal had an impressive weight.

The thought that something unknown stood on the road, watched them, could attack from behind at any moment, people felt uneasy. Around for many kilometers - deaf and empty, not a soul. On one side there is a river, on the other - a forest with old trees: white thick trunks without bark, dry and creaky, from some there was a monotonous hum - wild bees lived in them. It was so terrible that the woman involuntarily began to pray. People quickly started the car and hurried away from this terrible place. They did not see any wild animals along the way.
A physician by training and a skeptic by nature, the woman has since wondered what it was, who could have left such marks on a deserted road. Perhaps some kind of mutant or even a chupacabra? “Damn it,” she concludes, unable to come up with any logical explanation.
