Recently in New Zealand, local scientists discovered an unknown sea creature in the popular Kulim Hi-Tech Park. After some time and a number of studies, scientists still managed to identify the creature.

According to the specialist who tracked down the mysterious creature, Murray Milgrew, he walked in a local park and went to freshen up in the water. At the bottom, Milgrew saw an unusual "eel", he caught it in order to study a new species of eels. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out that the sea monster did not at all look like an eel. It had many sharp fangs, a large fin on its back, the creature was quite flexible, and a dozen sea snails took root on its head. The scientist was very surprised that the sea creature had no eyes at all, and there were not even eye sockets.

After a while, scientists nevertheless came to the conclusion that the monster still belongs to the category of sharp-tailed eels. It usually lives at the bottom of lakes and hides deep in the sands. Occasionally it can float up to search for prey. A similar sea creature was seen in the United States when sand was cleared at a local beach. According to experts, the length of the sharp-tailed eel can be up to 2.5 meters. A sharp tail is adapted to dig holes in the sand and hide there. This type of eel has already been recorded earlier in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, in the north of New Zealand, Japan and the Mediterranean.
