The Committee for the Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Events (CEFAA), the official Chilean government agency dedicated to UFO research, released a unique 9-minute video of an unidentified flying object on January 3, 2017. For the past two years, military experts and scientists have been trying to understand what kind of strange aircraft was captured by two experienced pilots of a Chilean military helicopter (see video below).

The event took place at noon on November 11, 2014, when an Airbus Cougar AS-532 helicopter was on a daily patrol from Santiago north along the coast. On board were a pilot, a naval captain with many years of flying experience, and a technician who worked with the MX-15 infrared camera used for observation and reconnaissance at medium altitudes. The board moved at an altitude of about 1.5 kilometers at a speed of 250 km / h.

While surveying the area, a technician noticed a UFO flying over the ocean. The pilots watched him with the naked eye. The speed and height of the object was the same as that of a helicopter. Presumably, the UFO was located 60 km from the observers and moved to the northwest.

It was a long, semi-oval white UFO, apparently composed of two spheres, which threw up and down thin jets of hot air that were visible when filmed with an infrared camera.

After eight minutes of video filming, the mysterious UFO released a stunning long plume of very hot gas or water, which then lagged behind the object and hung in the air. A minute later, the UFO made a second burst.

The pilot immediately contacted two radar stations and reported an unknown object. But neither the coastal station nor the radar in Santiago was able to detect him on radar, although the helicopter was clearly visible. Attempts to communicate with the object were unsuccessful. The technician filmed the object for nine minutes and twelve seconds, and when the UFO disappeared into the clouds, the helicopter returned to base.

This excellent video has been carefully reviewed by a group of aviation specialists under the auspices of the Chilean Air Force. However, they could not find any explanation. Suggestions that it was an airplane, drone, space debris or weather balloon were dismissed as impossible. Ultimately, the group came to the final conclusion that the object was a genuine "unidentified aerial phenomenon," or, as it is commonly called, a UFO.

This incident is the strongest evidence for the existence of a UFO, but as always when it comes to a mysterious phenomenon, there are still more questions than answers.
