Not so long ago, scientists from the Spanish University of Salamanca made a statement that time in the universe is gradually slowing down, and in the future it may even stop altogether. Scientists have suggested that the theory of the continuous expansion of the universe under the influence of dark matter is not true. Supposedly it is not the Universe that is expanding, but time is slowing down, and so slowly that the population of the Earth simply does not notice it.

According to the hypothesis of scientists, in the distant future, when the Earth has ceased to exist, time in the Universe will stop and the Universe will look “frozen”. The point of view of his Spanish colleagues is also supported by Harry Gibson, a cosmologist at the University of Cambridge: "Modern science believes that time appeared in the era of the Big Bang, and if it did appear, it may someday disappear."

Was there a Big Bang? Perhaps the universe existed before him. The symmetry of string theory suggests that time has no beginning or end. The universe could have arisen almost empty and formed by the time of the Big Bang, or go through several cycles of death and rebirth. What caused this event? After all, if there was no time at all before the Big Bang, then there seemed to be no reason that gave rise to it.

For Newton, "time" was given by God, Einstein called "time" a stubborn illusion and explained that time depends on the location of the observer in space, his speed of movement, and also on gravity. And modern scientists are looking for an opportunity to explain how "time" arose in the Universe, they assume that time does not exist outside objects and fields. Theoretical physics professor Klaus Kiefer believes that time falls out of the equations of quantum theory, which means that time is not there.

The standard definition of time is: "a nonspatial continuum in which events occur in an irreversible sequence and develop from the past - through the present - to the future." If in our daily life time invariably runs forward, if in the depths of a black hole, beyond the event horizon, it freezes, then inside black holes, time and space cease to function.

For decades, it was believed that black holes form when stars collapse under their own gravity into a point in space called a singularity, which is surrounded by an invisible membrane called the event horizon. Crossing this horizon makes it impossible to go back.

Professor from the University of North Carolina - Laura Mersini-Houghton shocked the scientific world with mathematical calculations proving that black holes do not exist. The reason black holes are weird is that they collide two fundamental theories. Einstein's theory of gravity predicts the formation of black holes, and the laws of quantum mechanics say that information cannot simply disappear from the universe.

Attempts to combine theories led to mathematical contradictions. In 1974 Stephen Hawking, using quantum mechanics, showed that black holes produce radiation. Mersini-Houghton describes a completely new scenario. She believes that stars collapse under the influence of their own gravity, and this leads to the appearance of Hawking radiation, but by emitting radiation, the star also loses mass. It loses so much that when it contracts, the density is no longer enough to form a black hole, that is, black holes simply cannot form.

Many physicists and astronomers believe that our universe arose from a singularity that began to expand with the Big Bang, but if the singularity does not exist, then physicists must rethink their ideas about the Big Bang. Did it really happen in the past, and was there a time?

How will our world change if the illusions of time shatter forever? Our main delusion is the belief that there is some kind of "external" world around us, from which we are separated by an air gap. We see things as we are created to see them, and we are not able to comprehend their absolute essence.

Robert Lanza argues that life creates the universe, and not vice versa. According to the theory of biocentrism, human consciousness determines the shape and size of objects in the Universe, and space and time are “the instruments of our mind”. The scientist is convinced that reality is a process that requires the participation of our consciousness. Space and time are not tangible objects, we just think that they really are. Everything we see is a whirlwind of information passing through consciousness. Space and time are tools for measuring abstract and concrete things.

Physicists - theorists believe that the multidimensional world precedes the physical Universe, generates it, and further affects all processes. From the point of view of multidimensionality, it can be argued that each of the possible events corresponds to an event taking place in another Universe. There are an infinite number of universes with different variations of people and situations occurring simultaneously, everything that can happen happens at some point between these universes.

Howard Lovecraft wrote: “Time is just our imperfect perception of one of the new dimensions of space. Both time and movement are nothing more than illusions. Everything that has existed since the beginning of the world still exists. Events that took place on this planet many centuries ago continue to exist in a different dimension of space. Events that will occur many centuries later already exist. We are unable to perceive their existence, since we cannot enter the dimension of space that contains them."
