Scientists are trying to unravel the mystery of Lake Salantina, located near the Argentinean town of Charata.
LAKE SALANTINA is a small body of water in Argentina, near which, according to legends, there is an anomalous place. They even say that sometimes vacationers on the lake suddenly turn out to be weightless and even soar into the air to a height of up to 3 m. Volunteers who are waiting for the "anomaly to turn on" sometimes up to several weeks, after waiting for it, hang in the air from 20 seconds to half an hour. It is said that one lucky man took off a total of 5 times. The law of gravity does not apply here, and people can sometimes fly in the air for up to half an hour. The attention of not only scientists, but also theologians, and just curious ones, is riveted to the small lake. At the moment, it is only known that at certain periods of time, apparently, quite by accident, people become lighter than air. They rise 3-4 meters above the surface of the lake and soar from 20 seconds to half an hour. It is impossible to predict the disappearance of gravity. Sometimes this happens every day, but in most cases, those who want to get rid of the planet's gravity at least for a short time have to wait several weeks.
- The lake does not exceed 200 meters in diameter, and gravity is "turned off" only in a small area near the coast of about 50 meters, - said physicist Carlos Penas, who has been studying the phenomenon since February 1999. - You never know when gravity will disappear. For example, on April 6, 1999, at noon, this happened three times with a short break. But sometimes nothing happens for weeks. Waiter Thomas Debako of Charat is the only person to have flown a full five times. “The feeling I experienced is difficult to convey in words,” he says. - The first time I took off, I was scared to death. And it was like this. I came to the lake with a friend to swim and now we are swimming for ourselves, and suddenly some unknown force literally pulled us out of the water and lifted us into the air. We flew for about five minutes. It seemed that we were under water with the difference that we could breathe."
Scientists all over the world are unsuccessfully trying to unravel the secret of Lake Salantina, although official research has not yet been carried out.
