The places where UFO bases can be located are usually called the Moon, especially the side of it that is not visible from Earth, as well as other planets and their satellites. And these options are logical, because they allow you to be close to the target of observation - people - and at the same time do not allow you to be detected.
But according to some ufologists, the satellite, the aliens are hiding much closer than it is supposed, namely, under water. Only a small part of the ocean has been investigated, and therefore it is quite possible to assume such a probability. However, not only the oceans can serve as a haven for alien ships - according to eyewitnesses, UFO bases are located even in lakes.
For the first time such an assumption appeared in the early 1970s, when the repeated immersions of mysterious ships in the waters of Lake Cree, which is located in Canada, were noticed. After a rather large unknown object fell there, it was decided to conduct an underwater survey using instruments. Several attempts were made to lower the vehicles to the bottom of the lake, but they all failed after a while, which is why the mystery of flying objects was never solved.
Another presumed base is Lake Gaipo, located in Argentina. In its vicinity, UFOs are often observed, about which the local Indians even have legends. According to them, the mysterious flying objects are nothing more than the form of sorcerers, which they take when they start hunting for people. This legend is very similar to reports of numerous abductions of people by aliens.
In Russia, the undoubted leader in the number of various mystical stories is Lake Baikal. There are regular reports of UFO sightings, both nearby and heading towards the lake, and directly above the water; objects were caught even at the time of their immersion.
In 1977, oceanologists conducted underwater research on Baikal. At a depth of just over a kilometer, the lighting was turned off to measure the level of sunlight passing through the water column. However, the researchers continued to illuminate the undetected source for about a minute, and only when it went out, darkness fell.
And in 1982, an even more curious incident occurred, which is difficult to believe. Military divers exploring the lake at a depth of 40 meters found creatures about three meters high, dressed in a kind of diving suits and having equipment on their heads that resembled a helmet. They were busy with their own work and showed no reaction to outsiders. The meeting was reported to the leadership, which decided to catch the unknown. But when trying to throw a net at the creature, it reacted by applying great force, because of which the divers literally "took off" to the surface. Due to the too rapid change in the pressure difference, three of them died, and four more were disabled.
