On January 1, 2017, a married couple watched from their bus for an unusual luminous UFO with two long tails (see video below).
The bus was moving along Route 690S to the city of Syracuse, located in the state of New York, USA, when at sunset at about 6 pm an object resembling a burning falling meteorite appeared on the right side in the direction of travel.
“When we followed the object, we noticed that it hovered motionless in the sky,” eyewitnesses wrote in a statement to the World UFO Network (MUFON). "At the same time, other planes were visible, which moved noticeably."
Upon closer inspection, it turned out that two long tails, highlighted in orange, stretched behind the main part of the object.
According to eyewitnesses, the UFO hovered somewhere in the area of such long glacial lakes as Seneca or Cayuga, located in the Finger Lakes National Reserve. The object was about five times larger than planes moving across the sky.
The couple wrote that they watched the object for about 20 minutes, and then lost sight of it.
“We were moving west from Lake Skanitels to Lake Ovasco, but the object either disappeared or went down to the horizon, and we could no longer see it,” wrote eyewitnesses who managed to take several photos and videos.
