On the night of July 14-15, 2014, the Moon reached perigee and was 362,062 kilometers from Earth. It's pretty close - the average distance from us to our natural satellite is 384401 kilometers. The convergence coincided with the full moon. This combination is called a supermoon. And the Moon itself is Supermoon.
The supermoon is incredibly beautiful. The celestial body increases in apparent size by about 14 percent and becomes brighter by almost a third. Amateur astronomers look forward to this spectacle. And of course they take pictures.
Lee Thompson from London also did not yawn. But he was lucky to shoot not only the Supermoon, but also some object against its background. The object was moving.

Experts initially suggested that the International Space Station (ISS) was in the frame. But they looked closely and doubted - it does not look like the ISS. The form is not the same. And the ISS should not be visible over the British capital at this time, namely on the night of July 15. In a word, what Thompson photographed is not known. UFO of some kind.
While the photographer was shooting, the subject moved to the left.
