Great Britain occupies a special place on the ufological map of the world. The facts of UFO sightings in the ancient and recent history of Foggy Albion are recorded both in manuscripts and in recently declassified documents of the country's Ministry of Defense.

Warminster thing

Such unexplained phenomena occurred in different parts of the country. But ufologists noted a certain selectivity: for some reason, UFOs especially fell in love with the city of Warminster in Wiltshire in the south-west of England.

UFO over Warminster in 1966

UFOs in the form of glowing balls were especially active hovering over Warminster about half a century ago, immediately after the inhabitants heard a series of strange sounds from the sky - crunching and rumbling, "as if someone was tearing roofs." Warminster gained the glory of the Mecca of the unknown. It, like Mount Bugarache in Provence, was flooded with esoteric enthusiasts. Everyone wanted to know what was appearing over the city. Is this a massive hoax or real events?

While ufologists were looking for answers to questions, local residents remembered the city's sinister reputation. It was the site of endless battles. The Romans, who once invaded here, entered from time to time into armed clashes with the conquered Britons.

At Warminster, the carriageways converged. Inns were built here, where not only merchants and travelers found food and shelter, but also criminals, escaped convicts, and card cheaters. Fighting, stabbing, bloodletting were part of daily life. Until now, they say, within the walls of the preserved inns, the presence of evil spirits of the past is felt.

As if to hold the defense against disembodied, but energetically strong entities, the city has an infantry school and a branch of the Royal School for the training of military electricians and mechanics. The constant military presence is reinforced from time to time by arriving groups and singly by UFO tourists who try to understand the strange attraction of Warminster for anomalous phenomena.

In the period after Christmas 1964, objects shining with white and amber light, like torpedoes, red-hot pokers and train carriages with illuminated windows flew by here. Luminous balls fell out of some objects, which were observed by many local residents and visitors. From time to time, when the UFO disappeared from sight, the observers began to have health problems: twitching of the facial nerves, profuse lacrimation, bouts of depression.

By September 1965, the recurring phenomenon in the sky was unofficially known as the Warminster Thing. You could tell about him in detail. However, fearing scandalous publicity and, mainly, suspicion of mental abnormalities, many local residents refused to meet with researchers.

Much has not yet been clarified. Why Warminster? Could it be because of its geographic location, coinciding with some UFO target? Perhaps only there is something that "they" want to get?

There is an assumption that in the distant past some kind of device was installed in this area to facilitate orientation (a kind of beacon) for the cymbal teams to perform emergency landings. But it is impossible to draw far-reaching conclusions on the basis of this assumption.

Research stop

Warminster only confirmed that the UK is a region of special UFO attraction. However, there are other facts as well. In particular, the fact that in 1950-1951 the British government investigated the phenomenon with the help of experts from the Flying Saucer Working Party.

They were representatives of all power departments: intelligence agencies, the ministries of aviation and defense. Despite the fact that they carefully studied several hundred reports of UFOs, the authors noted in the final report: there is no progress in the study of the phenomenon. And in order to achieve it, more extensive research should be undertaken. Apparently, for this, it was decided to create a unit in the Ministry of Aviation, which would specifically accumulate a database on UFO sightings in the British Isles. It was named Room 801, which was announced in 1957.

Some of the unit's documentation was declassified in May 2006. Including a 450-page report, already compiled on the facts of 1996-2000, classified as "Secret - for use in the UK only."

As British Deputy Secretary of Defense Tom Watson noted, "the study was not aimed at establishing the existence of extraterrestrial life, but nevertheless we can confirm that evidence of the existence of such life has not been found."

The British military concluded that in all cases when people testified to the observation of unusual objects and phenomena, a rational explanation could be found for this. For anomalous objects, in particular, the lights of aircraft, meteors, and other atmospheric phenomena could be taken. The report noted that none of the UFO reports that came to the Ministry of Defense contained value for military intelligence, and therefore in December 2000 it was decided to stop processing such facts.

We flew alone in the sky …

However, what is an order for the military is not able to stop civilian enthusiasts, including, by the way, many retired officers. Moreover, reality throws up new mysteries.

On July 19, 2013, another curious incident occurred in British airspace. When the Airbus A320 with 150 passengers on board was at an altitude of 10.3 kilometers west of London Heathrow Airport, the crew commander noticed an unidentified flying object through the observation window of the cockpit. The UFO flew towards the plane at about the same altitude.

It looked like a silvery rugby ball and may have had a metal construction. The pilot got the impression that the plane was about to collide with a UFO, while there was no time for maneuver. At the last moment, moments before the alleged collision, the object gained altitude and passed several feet above the airliner.

The commander requested information about flying objects nearby, but it was not. He explained the situation and later presented an account of what he saw. The versions were called meteorological balloons, helium balloons, sun glare. The nature of the unidentified object could not be identified.

A similar incident occurred on December 30, 2012, when not only the commander, but the entire crew of the Boeing 777 observed two UFOs during the approach of the aircraft to land at Gatwick Airport. Two flat silvery disks moved very slowly in front of the airliner on both sides: the UFOs displayed on the radar passed 30-60 meters below the plane. But even then there was no clear explanation of the experts.

Divine nature?

Against the background of the absence of explanations for the observed phenomena, the conclusions of ufologists are perceived as revelation. British writer, researcher and editor of the anomalous phenomena magazine Share International Benjamin Krim is convinced that UFOs are an absolute reality:

- In order to see aliens, those need to minimize the speed of vibration when they appear in front of us for a short period of time.

Nevertheless, he himself is not ready to unconditionally believe in the unearthly origin of some phenomena. For example, when asked about the origin of the famous crop circles, he replies:

“I have no doubt that some of them, especially in England, are fakes. However, most phenomena need to be taken seriously.

The repetition of miracles in our day, like those noted in the Bible, is considered by Creme to be a sign of a changing era in human history.

- What we call miracles is presented to humanity as evidence of the approaching times when Christ will again appear to the world.

If so, then the nature of the UFO phenomenon is divine. Forces from above make us understand that we must admit: we are all brothers and sisters. We must jointly manage the world's resources, otherwise we will perish. If we change the principles of life, we will create a new civilization, where we will show ourselves worthy of those who created us.

London ufologists assure that if one day the butler's notification is heard over the Thames: "Aliens, sir!", It will mean for mankind a proposal to start history from scratch. Millennia of strife must give way to an era of spiritual renewal.
