The US Geological Survey first reported an earthquake in Washington state, then this information was deleted for some unknown reason. Mistake? Strange in itself, almost unprecedented. But why are the mainstream media outlets in the United States so silent?
Naturally, all this created a certain stir in the American blogosphere, because there is nothing more attractive for discussion on the Internet than some secret hidden by the government. Moreover, we are talking about a serious push, judging by the USGS report, 2.6 on the Richter scale, which occurred on September 25 at 1:46 AM local time, 11 kilometers from Colfax.
If it really was an earthquake, then why was this information soon removed from the USGS website? True, screenshots of this message, which are immediately taken by conspiracy theorists, are much more difficult to destroy (see the photo below). And if this is not an earthquake, then what?
An earthquake in this area is hard to believe. Firstly, the place is seismically quiet, and secondly, the shock occurred at a negative depth, that is, 400 meters above sea level, which is unlikely for a natural phenomenon.
It can also be assumed that an asteroid simply fell there, especially since the area where the fantastic "earthquake" occurred is quiet, almost uninhabited (hardly anyone here was able to film the falling meteorite and then post the video on the Internet - there is no hope for that) … But then why is NASA and other space services silent about this?
Therefore, an explosion seems most likely. But what can explode in that remote place, tireless researchers-conspiracy theorists are surprised? Is a North Korean rocket arriving in Washington State? This seems the most plausible, but why is the media silent about this?..
