A resident of the Spanish city of Reus on February 8, 2017 reported to the local police department about a luminous UFO. Law enforcement officials tried not to express any hypotheses, but they were quite sure that an eyewitness saw a bright star.
“It was like a huge round donut that was flashing with a bright light. It glowed white on the outside and orange on the inside,”a local resident told the police, who claimed to have seen a strange object hovering over the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy.
It was the location of the UFO that prompted the local police to take a closer look at the unusual incident. After local residents reported to the police, two patrol cars arrived at the scene.
The event took place at about seven o'clock in the evening, during rush hour, when many people could observe the large glowing circle above the sanctuary. One of the policemen said that they looked at the stationary object for about two hours, trying to figure out its origin.
“Then the UFO began to move and flew away towards the mountains,” said an eyewitness. "I've always believed in UFOs, but I've never seen anything like it."
The police did not deny that the object emitted a bright light, but cited the fact that the evening was clear and the stars were very bright.
