The object that appeared in the air was glowing, eyewitnesses said
The administration of the airport in the Chinese city of Mianyang (Sichuan province) was forced to refuse landing to three passenger planes due to the appearance of an unidentified flying object in the airport area.
This was reported by the Xinjingbao newspaper.
As the airport officials told reporters, the dispatchers redirected the airliners to the nearest airfields, as there were doubts about compliance with safety standards during landing. The employees informed the law enforcement bodies about the incident, whose representatives, having arrived at the airport, did not record anything extraordinary. According to eyewitnesses, the object that appeared in the air glowed.
“Currently the airport is operating normally, we have not made any official notification of the suspension of its work. The object appeared in the air, in an area controlled by the airport, but did not fly over the runway,”the airport administration explained.
