Guess how old this baby is in the photo? You are unlikely to answer correctly. Filipino Junri Baluing will turn 18 this Sunday and will officially enter the Guinness World Records King as the smallest man on earth

His height is two and a half inches shorter than the height of the previous record holder, Hagendra Tapa Magara and is only 22 inches (55.8 cm).

“I am so happy about it, now everyone will know about me,” says the happy owner of the upcoming title and continues, “Today I tried beer for the first time. I liked it, although I can drink quite a bit. But this is only a small part of what I want in the future. Most of all I want to get married and have a beautiful wife. I know that she will most likely be much taller than me, but it will take me too long to search among my own kind."

The dwarf's mother and father come from a small village. The other day they were invited to dinner with the local leader. They were told that the representatives of the Guinness Book would measure Junri's height three times at different hours during the same day. And, if everything is confirmed, then he will become a new record holder.

“I can’t believe that my son will be known all over the world,” says 35-year-old Concepción. “They will fly from England and other countries to see him.”

Junri loves to ride on the shoulders of his father Reinaldo and generally loves being carried. Parents say that the first signs of growing pain in a child were noticed when he was 2 years old. The boy was sickly from birth and for a long time the doctors could not understand what was happening to him. And then they threw up their hands and said that he would never grow up at all.

At the age of 12, the only thing doctors could offer him was vitamins and advice to parents on how to live with such a child further. The parents had no money for expensive treatment. They have two more children, all younger than Junri, 13 and 11 years old, but they are normal healthy children.

Junri can walk independently only with great difficulty and helping himself with a stick. Standing on his feet for a long time is also very painful for him. He is completely in the care of his parents and cannot yet take care of himself.
