Another mysterious artifact was found on June 21, 2016 in photographs taken from the surface of Mars by the Curiosity rover. Even though NASA provided the image of poor quality, there are many intriguing details that can be seen in it, which confirm that it is an object of reasonable origin.

Lying on its side, a cylindrical object is very different from the small stone fragments on the Martian sand. The cylinder is covered with smooth rectangular panels or tiles. Its right end has a smooth flat surface unusual for natural objects. On the left side of the cylinder, you can see a dark tube protruding outward. The object seems to be quite heavy if an anomaly in the form of a metal ring or a hook protrudes from the left end for lifting with a crane or winch.

By overlaying color and shadow, the object becomes similar to a sea mine from the Second World War. Plus, it could very well be part of the engine of a Martian ship or other vehicle.

Until NASA begins to present higher quality images, especially when mysterious artifacts appear in the photograph, one can only guess what they really are. Perhaps the moment will come when NASA will finally share with the world its real findings made by the rover on the Red Planet.
