Scientists from the United States have invented a unique implant designed to treat people with drug addiction. Already in June of this year, specialists intend to introduce their development into drug treatment programs. This is reported in Western scientific publications.
American scientists have created an implant for the purpose of replacement therapy. The development will help doctors reduce drug cravings in patients, and even muffle heroin addiction. The creators of the implant said that it does not exceed an ordinary match in size, and that it is also good because it cannot be misused, and also because it cannot be kidnapped and illegally resold.
Scientists also reported that the use of the implant is allowed only if the patient returned to a more or less normal state after using drugs. The device works in such a way that at a certain time it injects a special medicine into the patient's body, suppressing drug addiction.
The creators of the implant assure that with its help a person can get rid of drug addiction in six months. However, in some cases, patients will still have to take pills for some time after the course of treatment with an implant.
