Scientists who could not sleep well at night because of thinking about the consequences of a man's fall on a neutron star have created an animation (see video below) that demonstrates the process. The video appeared on the Science Channel YouTube channel, and the news about it was spread by the Lenta.ru portal.
“Neutron stars are highly unexplored objects in deep space, so thinking about them certainly excites our minds. Just imagine - the speed of falling on a medium-sized neutron star would be one hundred and sixty thousand kilometers per second! Amazing, isn't it? You would simply be torn apart into separate atoms if you were close to a neutron star!”, - say the authors of the study.
According to which, the human body, by itself, has no place in the orbit of a neutron star, but if a similar situation takes place in reality, a whole complex of completely amazing phenomena will occur.
For example, when individual fragments of the human body do reach the surface of a neutron star, an energy release of unprecedented intensity will occur.
The consequences of such an event will be observed even at a considerable distance from its source.
