Historian Mikhail Paulkovich claims that Jesus of Nazareth never existed. He made this statement after finding no confirmed mention of the mission from more than a hundred writers of Jesus' time from the first to third centuries.

Paulkovich claims that Jesus is a mythical character and was created by Christians in order to create an idol who can be worshiped.
The writer finds no mention of Christ in 126 historical texts
The texts Paulkovich studied were written at a time when Christ allegedly existed. The historian did not find a single mention of him by famous writers of that time. This led Pavlovich to conclude that Jesus should not have existed for lack of recognition.
Also, the researcher claims that Jesus was an urban legend, most likely incorporating the image of several people who could actually exist.
The only work that Paulkovich met with records about Jesus belongs to the Roman historian Josephus Flavius (95 AD). However, even this mention, according to the scientist, was added later by the editors, and not by Flavius himself.

Paulkovich also says that the "silence" of Jesus himself is another evidence not in favor of his real existence.
As a confirmation of his theory, the historian cites a lot of examples when famous writers never mention Jesus. For example, the work of the second century Christian father Athenagoras shows that the person of Jesus is never mentioned. And in the Gospel of Mark in the Bible, although there is a story of the resurrection of Christ, the work itself was edited after it was written to include the resurrection.
All events related to Jesus, such as crucifixions and numerous miracles, were added later according to Paukovich. Such views of the historian are very contradictory and run counter to the opinion of the majority of scientists.
It is quite possible that such a presentation of the story of Jesus Christ is just a publicity stunt to increase sales of the book "No Meek Messiah", in which Mikhail Paulkovich sets out his arguments and proofs.
