Asteroid TC4, which flew near Earth on October 12, may return in 2079. It is noted that a clash will occur this year.
Researchers have analyzed in more detail its route of movement and do not exclude that in 2079 it will return to Earth, only then a collision will occur, and it will forever remain on the planet. Scientists have studied its trajectory and found that the day before yesterday it passed at a distance 5 times closer than it was in 2012. Thus, it turns out that with each of its revolutions, it is more and more attracted to the Earth. The next time it will fly near the planet in 2050, and the distance to the Earth will be further reduced. But in 2079, according to scientists, a collision will take place. The message states that the probability of such a phenomenon is 1: 750. The researchers said that even if this happens, it will not entail any serious disasters.
Earlier, Japanese scientists published a video of an asteroid flying past the Earth.
