Scientists at Harvard studying the phenomena that occur on the sun have come to an interesting conclusion. In their opinion, solar flares may be the harbingers of the apocalypse.
Scientists have noticed that spots on the celestial body are disappearing, which may indicate that the star is gradually lowering its temperature.
However, the researchers did not establish the cause of this process. However, they believe that global cataclysms occurring on Earth occur precisely because of solar flares. At the same time, the timing of their occurrence cannot be predicted, therefore it is impossible to take appropriate measures in time.
However, among scientists there were also those who are more optimistic. In particular, they declare that life on our planet will exist even in the event of a complete extinction of the Sun. But they also think it will only be a "postponement". Optimists are also confident that there are no alternative heat sources that can replace solar energy.
As scientists say, if the luminary goes out completely, within 12 hours after that, most of our planet will be covered with an ice crust, as a result of which the plant world will begin to die. Behind this, animals will begin to disappear.
We add that, according to scientists, the Sun will finally go out in 10 billion years.
