The planet was discovered by scientists from the University of California at Santa Cruz and from the Karanegi Institute in Washington. Its research was carried out using the unique Keck 1 telescope, which was developed in 2001. It was then that the above-described planet was discovered. Australian astronomer Ragenbier Bhatal, working in the SENTI project, discovered sharp flares in the region of the planet, resembling the action of a laser. According to him,this fact may indicate that there is intelligent life on the celestial body, which originated much earlier than the earthly one. This assumption also confirms the age of the planet, which is about 120 million years older than Earth. On this basis, he claims that the planet can be inhabited, now this version is being tested.

It is known that its diameter is 2.4 times the diameter of the Earth, and its orbit does not pass too close to a nearby star. In addition, this celestial body is the smallest exoplanet known. The researchers believe Kepler-22b could experience mild temperatures with an annual average of 22 degrees Celsius, with a greenhouse effect similar to Earth's. The Kepler Telescope, which was launched to search for Earth-like planets, has discovered more than 150 exoplanet candidates around other stars, including 35 in habitable zones. According to experts, by the beginning of the next century, one of them could be used for the first ever mission in the form of an unmanned vehicle. Scientists noted that the device will reach the planet closest to Earth for at least 50 years.

This planet was discovered using the HARPS apparatus. According to experts, the exoplanet is located about 135 light years from our planet. Despite this, it is considered one of the most obvious contenders for the title of inhabited. In addition, thanks to the HARPS apparatus, it was possible to record strange activity on its surface, which was caused by periodic luminescence. Many ufologists who learned about this immediately began to assume that there is life on the planet, since such cosmic phenomena occur extremely rarely. The planet orbits the star in 52.43 days, and its mass is about 3.9 times the mass of the Earth. According to scientists, it will be she who will be the first where a mission to search for inhabited celestial bodies can go. But the most interesting thing is that this planet is almost in the habitable zone,that is, at such a distance from the star, at which it receives a certain amount of stellar energy for the existence of water on it in a liquid state. So far, experts do not dare to say for sure whether there is vegetation on a celestial body, but the exoplanet has all the clear signs of this.
