The existence of parallel worlds has today been proven even by science, not to mention the numerous stories when people actually encountered this mysterious phenomenon. And how many inhabitants of the Earth annually simply disappear from our world, apparently stuck forever in a parallel reality? However, for those who have been there, this adventure does not always pass without a trace. And it's good if these changes are for the benefit of the person himself, as happened with the resident of the town of Spassk-Ryazansky, Viktor Gurov.

This happened with Victor back in 1970, when he was in the eighth grade. Once he agreed with friends to go to the forest. Victor came to the forest at the appointed time, but did not meet anyone there. He stood and waited, having nothing to do, breaking the branches of bushes in his hands. After waiting for friends for more than an hour, the boy spat on the idea of taking a walk with friends in the forest and returned home. And there they have been looking for him for three days, his mother is all in tears, the police are raised to their feet …
Victor, in order to prove to his parents that he had been away for only an hour, took them to the place where he broke the branches of the bushes, and they were … dry, as if they had been lying here for several days.
Since then, something has changed in the boy, a tremendous craving for sciences has appeared: biology, chemistry, astronomy, philosophy. Moreover, he absorbed the knowledge of these subjects like a sponge in water, it was enough for him to look through this or that book, as he remembered everything that was written in it by heart. Unfortunately, because of his mother's illness, Victor never received a higher education, did not go into science, but eventually became a simple driver.
However, the knowledge he received from numerous books, the desire to know the world around him in its smallest manifestations, did not disappear in it, did not fade away over the years. He knew literally everything about the structure of the starry sky, knew by heart all the plants growing in its region, knew how to successfully use them for medicinal purposes, and much more. For example, Victor never returned from fishing or from a "quiet hunt" without rich trophies, because, as he claimed, he knew how to negotiate with the spirits of rivers, lakes and forests …
At the same time, Victor was very modest, he never boasted of his knowledge and did not use it to harm other people, rather the opposite. He died, too, very surprisingly: one day he suddenly told me in secret that he would be gone tomorrow. Nothing foreshadowed that tragedy, but everything happened as he said …
