A follower of an unnamed radical religious cult near Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk Region) sacrificed people. With the help of bloody rituals, he tried to create zombies from his victims. The maniac was detained in July 2015.

According to the results of numerous psychiatric examinations, the accused was declared insane. Thus, he managed to avoid criminal liability.

According to the sources of the 66.ru portal, the former policeman will go to compulsory psychiatric treatment instead of a trial. The official representative of the fourth department of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, which is in charge of this criminal case, could not confirm this information, but did not deny it either.

According to Portal 66.ru, after the murders of the homeless at the cemetery of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the former policeman buried the bodies of his victims and waited a certain period of time. Then he dug up and performed some rituals, trying to "revive" the dead and turn them into zombies. It is not reported what kind of religious cult the accused is following.

Investigators found that the detained man in the 90s. worked as a police officer. Already after his dismissal, in the 2000s, he, according to the investigation, committed a contract murder of one of the participants in the conflict at Vegetable Base No. 4 in Yekaterinburg. It is possible that this "work" influenced his psyche. Because allegedly then he began to commit murders of homeless people on the territory of the cemetery of Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

Initially, there were five episodes of murders in the criminal case: four religious and one ordered. However, after the suspect in serial murders was declared insane, the main defendant was excluded from the resonant criminal case.

Now, apparently, at the trial, which may begin in the near future, episodes of "ritual" murders of homeless people in the territory of the Verkhnyaya Pyshma cemetery will not be considered. Only a suspect in the mediation of a contract murder will go to the dock. The person who ordered the crime is still at large.
