To study the violation of the natural structure of the soil, you need to either wave a shovel or walk around the area with a heavy device. Yes, in the same way they search for treasures, and conduct archaeological excavations at times in difficult terrain conditions. Therefore, a special device for underground vision, which is being developed by the scientists of Akademgorodok, is already of interest to professionals today.
Yuri Karin, a researcher at the Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics of the SB RAS, says that the device is quite light and weighs only 6 kg. The device sees voids, wood, stone, iron, as well as any violation of its natural structure; it scans the soil to a depth of 3 meters. If an object was buried in the ground a long time ago, or, for example, a funnel has formed, then the natural position of the ground is disturbed and an anomaly is obtained. It is expressed in the form of structural violations and in the form of a change in resistance in this area. The device will be able to accurately and without physical effort on the part of a person detect such an anomaly. Careful monitoring of the topsoil is essential primarily for archaeologists. For example, in the Novosibirsk region there are about 2,000 mounds, and no more than five can be explored per season.
The electromagnetic field allows you to see through the earth. The device generates it, then receives a return signal. Information is read in the form of curves and graphs. Looking at them, even a non-professional will figure it out: there is something hidden under the ground. It seems that everything is simple. However, the Novosibirsk residents have patented the search method and are not going to disclose it.
