In the Altai Territory, in the middle of the Baschelak ridge, where a chain of mountain lakes stretches, an amazing phenomenon is taking place that can turn science over.

Namely - water flows out of the lake and enters the river, going up the slope! Miracle? It turns out not at all. The theoretical physicist Vasily Boukreev, who lives in Biysk, is sure that this is common on our planet. And that this is a kind of prototype of a perpetual motion machine, proposed by nature itself.

His friend Farid Sagdeev told Bukreev about the unusual behavior of water on the Baschelak Lakes. He repeats his story to the AIF correspondent: “I have a relative in the village of Soloneshnoye, he works as a forester. And he specially took me to the Baschelakskie lakes to show this phenomenon.

I could not believe my eyes: a stream flowed out of the reservoir and went up the slope. The vertical drop was about three meters. The water in the brook seemed to roll over like shafts, they went one after the other."

Vasily Semyonovich listens attentively, asks questions about the depth of the lake in this place. Then he explains the essence of the phenomenon: “Water comes to the lake from a glacier located on the mountain. When it enters the lake in shallow water, a moment of forces appears, which brings the aquatic environment into rotation.

Water wheels of the so-called Taylor vortices appear on the slope. Roughly speaking, these are cylinders that roll on their side and destroy hydrodynamic drag. Since there is no resistance, the cylinders gain energy, which allows them to easily climb a small incline uphill."

Our distant ancestors had a vague idea of the physics of natural processes, but they were very observant. And, spying on nature, they created technical devices that amaze us to this day. For example, in ancient Rome, a powerful industry was created for delivering water to settlements - the famous aqueducts. They also ran over gorges, where descents alternated with ascents.

And in order to deliver the liquid to a higher level, the Romans specially twisted it into vortices. And in the foothills of the Kopetdag (a mountain range on the territory of Iran and Turkmenistan), according to some reports, peasants still use this principle, raising water with irrigation ditches from the foot of the hills to their tops. The angle of descent on the mountain serpentine is selected in such a way that water vortices are formed on it, gaining energy and flowing up the irrigation ditches.

Typhoon and tornado

Whirlwinds in nature arise constantly - in the atmosphere and water. Our smaller brothers successfully use them. So, birds and fish "cling" to whirlwinds during flight or swim in order to spend less energy. It is thanks to the vortices swirling in the water that the salmon manages to rise to spawn upstream of the river. But modern physics, according to Vasily Bukreev, refers to vortex motion without due respect: in the equations of hydrodynamics and electrodynamics, it is described by a meaningless rotor icon.

“The rotor is just a rotating body, the same cylinder,” he says. - But vortex formations (in fact, do not exist for modern science) are more complicated. There are two types of vortices in nature - Taylor vortices and Benard vortices. The first is, relatively speaking, a typhoon (aka hurricane, cyclone, etc.). Matter in it (air or water) moves along nested circles, not being able to move from one circle to another. And Benard's vortex is a tornado (tornado). In it, the flows move along more complex trajectories: inside the vortex they spiral upward, and outside - downward, and with a higher rotation speed.

We know that typhoons and tornadoes are both persistent formations. Their physics is such that, having arisen, they support themselves. But there is more. In vortex-tornadoes, the forces act in such a way that they form an efficiency of more than unity. What does it mean? The fact that by artificially creating such a vortex it is possible, for example, to increase the jet's flight range.

From words to deeds. If you put one pipe into another (with certain gaps at the inlet and outlet), then the flow of liquid or gas, passing through it, will swirl into a vortex. Put such a tip on a fire hose and the jet will fly farther than usual. This means that the firefighter will not have to risk going close to the fire. Another plus: recoil disappears, the hose no longer breaks out of the hands of the one who holds it. Vasily Semyonovich, together with his friend Farid, designed such a hose and carried it to the nearest fire department. Tests have shown that there is an effect.

In addition, the vortex-tornado perfectly mixes the environment. Craftsmen from Biysk have made several mixer attachments for carburetors. In this part of the engine, liquid fuel is mixed with air. And the finer the particles in the spray mixture, the less gasoline consumption.

“The attachments have been tested on various Zhiguli models and have shown their effectiveness everywhere,” says Farid Sagdeev. - The power of the engine increases, as a result, the throttle response of the car improves. On the VAZ-2101, we checked the fuel consumption. It turned out to be equal to 6.5 liters per 100 km. Saving gasoline - 20%! So why not put such mixers on carburetors and injectors in the conveyor belt production of cars? And there will be less harmful emissions into the environment!"

And Vasily Boukreev completely swings at the sacred: “Perpetual motion machines, as you know, are“forbidden”by science. But water flowing upwards - why not a perpetual motion machine? The same principle can be used in energy. There is such a device - a Segner wheel. It is classified as a perpetual motion machine, and therefore is considered inoperative.

Hydrodynamic resistance prevents him from becoming "eternal". But the technology that allows water to be lifted upward by swirling it into vortices shows that this resistance is surmountable. That is, on the basis of the Segner wheel, you can make a device that produces more work than was expended. And this will be a perpetual motion machine."
