Death as a phenomenon still remains largely a mystery to scientists. This is because no one "from there" has yet returned to tell what actually happens to a person's consciousness and sensations when he dies.
But some information can still be obtained from people who almost died, but were then brought back to life.
On Reddit, users have shared their stories of how they died. Here are six of them.
1. How to read a book
Five years ago, the user "monitormonkey" underwent a major operation, during which he began to bleed heavily and was virtually dead within minutes.
2. A visit from someone who was dear
User "Schneidah7" said that he was riding his motorcycle at high speed and had an accident. He was thrown into the road with force. When he was taken to the hospital, he was clinically dead for a while, but he remembers a few things after being thrown from a motorcycle.
3. In the garden
An IDiedForABit user experienced cardiac arrest caused by an acute allergic reaction.
4. Postpone the call
User "TheDeadManWalks" contracted cancer as a teenager and underwent chemotherapy for several months. He did not get better and suddenly had severe nosebleeds. Then his condition worsened due to general sepsis and one day he just slipped off somewhere for a while.
5. Like a dream
The user of "altburger69" suffered a heart attack last year, and when she was taken to the ambulance, her heart stopped three times in the car during the resuscitation of doctors.
6. There was nothing
Rullknuf user like Schneidah7 had an accident while riding a motorcycle. His breathing and pulse stopped and he began to have violent convulsions. Only two minutes later, his friend gave him artificial respiration and returned him back.
